Tap at brew pub. Pours pitch black with a deep chocolate aroma. Flavor is sweetened milk chocolate covered in sugary syrup. Full and coating mouthfeel. Great beer!

Dark black. Lots of roasty malts. This had a ton of coffee flavor, for a non coffee stout. Finally, a Festivus for the Rest-of-us!

Simple beer, milk and roasty notes, and not too much else. These days I’m looking for something to either wow me or at least be unique. I can’t fault this too much because it is what it is, which is an okay stout. Just nothing to write home about.

Tons of coffee character in this beer. Black, with an unusually thick and heavy palate. Ground coffee in the flavor, but the lactose is well hidden, which is fine because I dont like lactose flavor. Lots of sweet malt.

No way this is 5.2%, which is what was written at the brewery and on the menu. Pours black with a minimal tan head. The coffee dominates the milk in flavor, which also features dark cocoa and a nice char. Seved far too cold from the tap, but highly drinkable once it wars up a bit.

Growler pours black with creamy tan head, no lace. The aroma is roasted malt and lactic notes. The flavor is sweet, Ovalteen, carnation instant milk, and some hops to even it up. The palate is substantial and mouthy. Overall, it puts me in the mood to put up a Festivus pole and take on my kids for the feats of strength.

Black color with a medium head. Aroma of lactose. Sweet malt and lactose flavor. Rounded with some roasted malt and a bit of earthy hops. Very well balanced: not overtly sweet, but sweet enough to know it is a milk stout.
