COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a very mysterious style brewed primarily in Belgium and a few areas of France. Some Grand Cru is sour, some fruity, some weak, and some strong. Our version is brewed with a special malt from France, authentic Trappist yeast, and traditional sugars and spices. After an extended maturation period, tremendous flavors prevail from this light orange colored ale. Look for sweet candy-like flavors that may conceal spiced orange, plum, pear and toffee with a distinctive white wine-like finish. This Grand Cru was just awarded the silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival (2004) in Denver.

Draft at Town Hall - yum!! Clear amber pour looking like apple juice. Nose is fruity. Nice mouthfeel, just the right balance of booze and fruit / spice from the yeast. Well done.

On tap at SPSBF. Pours a clear deep gold with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of dark fruit with some slight spice, belgian yeast and a deep backing grain. Flavor has some floral notes with the dark fruits and a backing note of belgian yeast, light spice and dark grains.

Pour from a growler shared by birchstick- thanks a ton, Jon! Pours a golden color with a copper hue and a big off-white head. Notes of honey, caramel, apricot, raisins, brown sugar, and floral notes. Medium-full bodied, with moderate carbonation and chewy mouthfeel.

Hazy amber pour with a light aroma. Fruity malty flavor that is a bit bitter and malty.
