COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The name pretty much describes the beer. "Hefe" meaning "with yeast" and "weizen" meaning "wheat". Our version used approximately 60% wheat malt in addition to the 40% malted barley. The result is a light, slightly tart ale that’s hazy in appearance. The perfect beer to quench your summer thirst.

Tap at the brewery. Typical cloudy yellow-orange with a one-finger white head. Big banana and clove on the aroma. The flavor has banana and clove with medium sweetness and good spice. Medium-light body with lively carbonation. Excellent for the style.

Tap @ Town Hall Tap Minneapolis. Pours a fairly hazy, moderately cloudy, light orange appearance with a nice, fluffy white head. Slightly spicy, wheat malty forward, lightly estery, a bit bready aroma. The yeast is fairly subdued in the flavor which is nice. There’s a bready element along with light citrus, a bit of spiciness and clove, but overall, an easy drinking session beer that’s not overly complicated. Not bad stuff but nothing transcendental.

on tap at TH 20Aug2012, another quality low ABV beer from TH, nothing spectacular but a very solid hefe, listed at 5.5% on the menu, this nails the summer quench, with hints of clove and nanners.

Pours a murky brownish yellow, has the typical banana and clove scent. The taste is smooth, not overly sweet. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at brewery. Cloudy yellow. Taste is wheaty, yeasty and slightly fruity. Refreshing and creamy. One of my favorites from the brewery.

Hazy gold with white head. Smooth ripe banana and a tart citrus/lemon zest. Flavor is fresh lemon zest, wheat malt, and finishes with as faint hop bitterness. Lightly sweet and refreshing. A good example of the style.

Serving Glass: Poured from tap into Pint. Appearance: Very cloudy orange with thick white head and loads of lacing rings left behind. Aroma: Major banana, some wheat and very light clove. Taste: Banana and wheat dominates. Fairly sweet overall. There is some light clove and noble hops, but not enough for my personal preference. Palate: Fairly full body with moderately high carbonation. Finish is not dry enough; a little cloying. Overall: Despite my preference for a drier Hefeweizen, this is still a tasty, strong example of the style.

Pours hazy gold with white head, aroma is clove, banana, and some citrus. Taste is clean and crisp with banana, clove, lemon peel that finishes sweet.
