I was waiting for this to get added. On cask at Town Hall. The aroma and flavor were of solid and well crafted malt that married well with the rich and casky palate. There is nothing wrong with this as per style. I enjoyed it. Perhaps it is a bit under-rated, but hey, to each his own.

On tap at Minneapolis Town Hall brewery. Had a VERY dark ruby color. Aroma of malt and sweet cherries or peach. Very well balanced caramel notes with light fruit and a lot of malt. Tasted more like a good scotch ale. Real smooth and slight bitter finish. Would buy again.

red color with massive off white head. Nice solid body with chocolate and malt flavors and some hops on the finish. Silat but weaker aroma.

Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear red-orange color. Head was off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma was of caramel with hints of chocolate, black pepper, and molasses. Dry on the tongue with mild to moderate hop bitterness. Very earthy, leathery, and mossy with some salt and other mineral-ish notes. I also tasted club soda, bready malt, and a dash of black pepper.
