4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 CLevar (373) - Minnesota, USA - MAR 11, 2013
Pour on tap at Town Hall. Looks very similar to the base beer, perhaps a touch of pectin haze. Aroma is big sweet mango puree backed with a slug of tropical hops. Lots of citrus, grapefruit. Taste starts with sweet mango, moving to hop bitterness. Lots of similar flavors in the mango and the hops that work very well with each other. Starts out a bit sweet, but the bitterness in the finish really balances this one out. Not much malt to speak of, any from the base beer seems to get lost in the mango. Slightly vegetal, but in a good way, really emphasizing the perception of a mango pit. Mouthfeel is full, carbonation is light. Awesome beer.

Big time fruity mango and citrus notes with some resin hop scents. Has some nice lacing in the glass. Taste is big time mango sweetness, just a tad too much. I also get a nice clean hop bitter finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

I'd never seen a growler gush before opening this baby, and it put vinegar + baking soda volcanos to shame. Mango aroma erupts from the liquid with equal vigor. Fresh, juicy hops at every turn; leaves behind a delicious aftertaste as it descends. I typically dislike Single IPAs, so it's rare for me to enjoy one as much as I did with Mango Mama. Would trade for another growler in a heartbeat.

Tap at Town Hall, this is good stuff too, a great mid meal switch from the other beer I had been drinking, the only gripe I have with this is Masala Mama is the base beer, and its not quite hoppy enough for me and the mangos impart a slightly artificial taste after a while, but honestly I’m not sure how you could change that, this beer was super tasty..
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 hamilton23 (546) - Alpine, California, USA - NOV 4, 2012
From a growler. Pours amber/orange in color with gushing/overflowing carbonation from the growler. Aroma is some mango and floral notes. Flavor is similar to the regular Masala Mama with just a hint of mango and tropical notes. Tasty stuff.

Soooo fuckin mangoey and I love it. Exactly what I was hoping for with this beer. Could have more bitterness but oh well.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Bacterial (416) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - SEP 19, 2012
On tap at Town Hall. Pours clear, bright amber with a think white head. Lacing sticks around the glass. Nose is citrus and a touch hoppy. Taste is where this beer really explodes, pine, citrus, tropical fruit notes. I only catch hints of the mango in the aftertaste. Great hoppiness and fun, subtle fruit character.

8/11/12. GTMW. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Hoppy aroma with mango, tropical fruits, and touches of vegetal aspects (I seemed to be getting that a lot at the fest for some reason). Parallel flavor. Mango really isn’t my thing, so maybe that’s why I wasn’t loving this guy.
4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 madvike (2077) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - AUG 24, 2012
On tap at GTMW - Pours light amber with a white head. Nose has lots of mango, citrus, tropical fruit, and garlic/onion hops. Taste is really juicy, with lots of rich mango, pear, citrus, and a big malt finish. Grassy, garlic hops on the long finish. Thick and fluffy--great stuff.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Steasy66 (540) - Minnesota, USA - AUG 16, 2012
On tap at town hall. golden color with small white head. Aroma is citrus and a bit fruity but overall muted. Quite a bit of mango flavor, hops are covered up a bit by the fruit. Id much rather just have a regular masala mama but this is very drinkable.
