3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap tonight. Clear, orange/yellow pour, minimal carbonation and smelled like a normal hoppy version of masala mama with a hint of fruit. Flavor was hoppy, then malt and finished with some mango and slightly unpleasant bitterness. I’ve had this before and remember it being better. I may need to give this another shot and then rerate down the road.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub.
Pours a nearly translucent cloudy copper-caramel color. Shock-white head sits on top of the beer and leaves nice lacing in its wake. Aroma is fantastic blend of pine, citrus and apricots -- smells delicious. One sip and the "apricot" in the aroma gives way to the true fruit flavoring of this beer, namely mango, and it doesn’t work as well as the aroma would have promised. But it’s still pleasant, drinkable and inventive. That said, one is enough -- I definitely wouldn’t drink glass after glass of this.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cask at the brewery - Aroma has lots of citrus and resin hops. Flavor matches with a very fruity finish. Palate is sharp and tart. This was my first brew at Town Hall after a long day of anticipation. Refreshingly clean fruity IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at the brewpub. Bright orange with a thin white head. Very sweet aroma, the mango comes through very well, lots of citrusy hops. More mango in the flavor as well, very sweet, but not over the top, very good and very interesting, tasty.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Big props to tytoanderso for helping me navigate my way through Minnesota in order to get to the brewpub. Poured a vibrant, lightly hazy rusty orange color topped by a half inch beige head that receded to a layer and left some rings of lacing. Aroma of mango, bright citrus fruit (mainly grapefruit, light lemon), some leafy, floral hops, and some faint caramel peaking through. Lightly sweet, prickly entry with some mango flesh and light citrus fruit (grapefruit) transitions into a fresh, leafy, floral hoppiness with some resinous oil and hints of pine that dry the palate. Finishes moderately dry and bitter with some soft citrus notes paired with sweet mango. Lively, somewhat prickly carbonation provides a good mouth feel and begs the beer to be drank. Overall, I am not a fan of IPA’s with fruit added for the most part, but this will certainly keep me from making a blanket statement. Tasty, smooth, and vibrant. I like it.

Wow. The IPA, with its fruity sticky texture, with mango. Lots of mange. I enjoyed it. Very tasty.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap June 15, 2009. The regular IPA offering with mangos. Good beer but just a bit too sweet and fruity for my palate. For me I’d stick with the marsala mama and leave this for the "light" crowd.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
I had not even planned it out this way but I ended up being in Minneapolis on a Monday, as soon as I realized this I had to run over to Town Hall. Snifter/goblet pour at the brewpub comes to me with a thick head. The color is a hazy, glowing, dark amber. It definitely looked appetizing. Aroma is wam bam mango mam. This is mixed with the beautiful hoppiness of the Masala Mama. Surprisingly, the two go very well together. The mango comes off as mango sorbet (Häagen-Dazs brand). In the flavor the mango is more like mango tea. It is so simple yet so damn awesome.

Adding an additional fruitiness to the already delicious floral hop profile of this wonderful beer, only serves to make it more interesting. Yay for Town Hall!

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
[Tap] Finally, after about 5 mondays of stopping in with no success, I finally get a chance to try this elusive beer. Pours a hazy copper with a finger of fine beige bubbles. Aroma is like mango sorbet, but a lot of the base beer’s hops are strangely absent. Flavor is primarily sweet mango with some peels evident, the hop bitterness is subdued but still there, and there is some sweetness and grapefruit in there as well. Worth the search, for sure.
