Growler, aged 4mo. Smells like funky, dark-cherries and green grapes. Pours a very cloudy, amber color. Tastes medium sweet, lightly tart, and lightly sour. Flavors of sweet cherries, grapefruit, green grapes, rye, and Belgian yeast.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Growler shared thanks to GatorGuy92. Cheers, Matt! Pours a hazy brown with an off-tan head. Nose is some sugar, sweet malt, some cherries, some bourbon, and some booze. Flavor is similar with notes of a great Manhattan: cherries, bourbon, oak, sugar, sweetness, some fruit, and just awesomeness. Medium to full in body and nicely delicious.

Growler shared by Matt at the weekly tasting, poured an orangish amber color with aromas of bourbon, light vanilla, some tart cherries and some sweetness. Flavors followed suit, mostly tart cherries, and bourbon. Thanks Matt for sharing this, what an amazing beer.

Hazed copper pour with a small khaki head. Nose is very reminiscent of a Manhattan. Strong bourbon aroma, nice cherries, and some vanilla. Great banana and caramel sweetness, brown sugar, and oak. The flavor is a bit alcoholic, but has a really great bourbon quality. Plenty of cherries, sweet brown sugar, caramel, and banana. Pretty damn good.

At the brewery during 2013 Barrel Aged Week. This one wins the uniqueness points. Actually does remind me of a manhattan. Strong bitter and spicy notes that surprised me. Color was a bit lighter than the other BA brews - cloudy brownish purple.

Draft at Town Hall Barrel Aged Week. Pours a reddish brown color with a thin off white head. Aroma is cherry, fruity, actually, it kinda smells like nail polish remover, but in a good way. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, fruity, cherry, some malty sweetness, some bourbon, with a sweet cherry finish. Interesting.

4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Tap. Light ruby/tan pour, a little spotty carbonation and an aroma of, well, a manhattan (I mean spot on; light woody bourbon, cherries). Flavor is nice sweet malt, intermingled with slightly strong bourbon and maraschino cherries and some peppery boozy spice on the finish. Really damn nice and worth $40/growler.

Winterfest 2013. Maybe the best beer at the festival this year. Fantastic aroma of sweet vanilla and cherry. Sweet flavor with more of the same, and just the lightest bourbon, which adds to the vanilla with oak and improves the flavor rather than bringing intense bourbon character into it. I would say this is one of the best beers ever from Town Hall.
