Pour on tap at the brewery, dark reddish black pour with off white head, aroma brought notes of slight roasted malt, coffee, toast into a bit of grain, nice spicy, herbal hops into a bit of bready notes, some slight fruit. Taste was a mix of bread, grass, some yeast into a bit of herbal, earthy notes with a hint of toast, roast, finishing slightly bitter.

Draft on tap at the brewpub (Minneapolis, MN). Pours a deeper dark brownish hue, some black, not opaque, but a dark body, brownish copper edges and bottom glow, catch some good light. Good glowing elements, frothy offwhite head films, laces small. Aromas are toasty, gentle biscuit, bready malt. Firm dry florals and earth, spicy hop nose hits. Distinct Saaz meets toast, a bit of biscuit, almost a faint roast. Initial is lighter in body, a touch of biscuity girth. Really, just a faint toast meets bready malts, gentle earthy dry hops, grass and earth. Good richer dry earth, hops, firm bitterness. Gentle toast. Very Pils like, just a gentle bit of biscuit and toast in the beer itself lend it’s darkness. Nose is more on point as far as color. Pretty nice and fresh.

On tap at Town Hall Brewery. Has a dark brown/cola color with a thin white head. Scent is a light aroma of wheat/grain. Taste is some grain with a little bit of sweet malt, alright. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Tap at Town Hall. Deep brown - amber pour with a spotty head. Mild roast, lighter body, pretty easy drinking. Not bad.
