LIght light color. Aroma has a bit of smoke. Sweet with grassy hops and a hint of charcoal. Like a more interesting Leinie.

A very strange flavor to this. The people I was with thought chips. I didn’t know what to think. Pale yellow appearance, no head. Aroma is fresh yeast. Palate is smooth. Pretty ordinary but good.

At Town Hall on 9/6/2008, pint appeared yellow, pale, with a small head, no lace. The aroma is slightly smoked. The flavor is much the same as the aroma. The palate cleansing and refreshing. Overall, a nice change up.

gt of the mw! Clear gold pour with a thin white head. Peaty bog aroma. Flavor was more peat, smoke, fresh tobacco, and lightly sweet malt. Smokey finish. Very good!

Pint @ brewpub. Color is completely clear straw color with almost no remnants of a head. Not enticing visually at all. Aroma is very clean, lightly doughy, lightly herbal, malts. There is a subtle touch of sweet smoke. Taste is a bit more crisp with some light herbal hops coming through. Finishes with a beautiful light smoke that sits on the back of the throat for a while. And I get something like just a touch of jalapeño. May just be a cool way that the hops are presenting themselves. Has a nicely easy drinking, light mouthfeel as well. I really like this light smoked, a bit more than the Schlenkerla.

gtmw 08.... clear golden yellow brown with a non-existent head....lightly smoked and corny malt aroma... light smoke and sweet malt that never became tiresome (granted i only had about 3 ounces of this). and i found this quite drinkable which was a pleasant surprise for me.

Very light in color, slight tinge of smoke in the aroma. Very crisp with a little hint of smoke and hops. Slightly sweet. Pretty easy drinking beer, I typically like a little more smoke, but for the non smoked beer lover, this should be a good one.
