Draft at Town Hall, left over from Barrel Aged Week 2013. Pours a murky., dark amber color with a white head and some lacing. Aroma is boozy, whiskey, floral. Medium on the palate with soft carbonation. Flavor is sweet, boozy, whiskey, some caramel sweetness, a hint of wheat in there, some floral hops, with a malty, boozy finish. This beer did not stand up well to the barrel. Not terrible, but lots of barrel.

On tap at Town Hall Brewery, muddy brown color with white head. Scent is a lot of barrel with a bit if caramel and vanilla. Taste is similar, but has a bubbly whine character, bit too sweet, over takes the barrel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle thanks to a trade. Pours a hazy deep gold with a near white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has a nice barrel note with a hint of light berry and sweet grains. Flavor starts with sweet grains and caramel with sweet grains backed by bourbon.

(750 bottle) clearish deep gold, lasting creamy offwhite head. Nose of big oak, huge alcohol, bourbon plays second fiddle to the alcohol heat, vanilla, raisins, estery. Taste of raisins, saccharin, vanilla, big bourbon alcohol heat, oaky, estery. Big alcohol heat linger, creamy, but of saccharin on the palate finish.

The pour is a hazed orange color with an off-white head. Sweet caramel, toffee, brown sugar, and honey. Good bourbon aroma, plenty of vanilla, and some oak. Actually a touch of hops in the background. Sweet sugar/malt flavors dominate. Heavy on the caramel, toffee, and brown sugar. As with the nose, lots of bourbon and vanilla with a light oak flavor.
