In short: A gross cloying and sticky beer with a strong Jack Danielís character. Meh.
How: Growler. Shared by yopdog in the RBSG 2011 bus tour
The look: Clear burgundy topped by a long-lasting small beige head
In long: Nose has some of the unmistakable scented Jack Daniels perfume character (I used to drink that shit all the time when I was a teen) as well as sweet toffee-ish malts. Taste is cloyingly sweet, slimy sticky body, tar, toffee, a bit of rubber, oily black cake, cheap whisky, annoying baked dark fruits. Not a fun beer at all. I donít know who is the sucker that bought that growler, but I donít care, Iím not really interested in meeting suckers, Iím mostly interested in meeting swallowers.

Growler at RBSG 2011 Philly. Pour is a clear reddish amber below a rocky, large, sheen, off-white head. Nose is excellent: spicy bourbon and sour brown ale mismatch that works very well in beers like Goose Island Dominique. Taste is sharp and spicy with a heavier body (brown sugar, caramel, toffee, Scotch Ale drill). No sourness or infection even the nose impends some hot acetic spice. Very nice stuff.

Hazy brown color/ fleeting head. Sweet caramel, vanilla, nutty, spicy aromas. Same flavors as in the nose with sweet caramel vanilla, mild smoke, nuts--good.
