robertsreality (2462), Minnesota, USA Sep 11, 2007 Cloudy Honey Color with Quickly Fading White Head. Strong Piney Grapefruit and Floral Hopped Aroma. Light to Medium Bodied, with a Dry Hop and Wheat Blanket Coating the Mouth. Sweet Grains in the Background, Notes of Grapefruit, Moving Towards a Dry Wheaty Aftertaste...Increasingly Drying Over Time. Nice Simple Mix of Wheat and Fruity Hops in a Pale Ale.
Pigfoot (2225), Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA Jul 21, 2008 Lightly cloudy, pale orange color, big, puffy, lace-leaving, gossamer white head...very nice looking.
Aroma screams hops...Cascade & Centennial, most likely...I could be wrong...probably am, but they seem like good guesses. The pine and pineapple also suggests Amarillo. Wow! A hophead’s dream, clean and alert and alive, pine needles and lemon peels.
Taste: smmoth, good texture, abundant hoppy flavor, creamy mouthfeel. Medium bodied, with great bitterness buzzing the palate. And they just keep buzzing...excellent drinkability, so effortless to down.
piscator34 (936), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada Sep 17, 2007 Hazy light orange in colour with moderate carbonation. Strong hoppy aromas of mango, orange, flowers, grass, and black pepper. The strong hop presence continues in the mouth with more tropical fruit and pink grapefuit notes, along with some mild caramel notes. It starts out quite full on the palate (from all of the wheat, I guess), but dries out nicely with some firm chalky bitterness. A great hop delivery vehicle. tytoanderso (1195), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Sep 15, 2007 Tap at the brewpub. Bright grassy hops on the nose. Pours a hazy gold. Nice lacing all the way down the glass. Excellent balance between sweet wheat and grassy and fruity hops. Fairly full bodied and creamy on the palate. Nice. badgerben (3160), Blaine, Minnesota, USA Sep 4, 2007 Cloudy gold color with a large, rocky head. Woah... BIG grapefruit aroma! Dusty wheat taste with a citrus and pine finish. It almost drifts into Pinesol territory, but just escapes it.
