Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, light hoppy. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100805]

Peppery hop aroma. Golden coloured floral and hoppy with a hint of dryness in a bitter grainy malt finish.

Hazy gold beer - light dry palate. No head, no carbonation. Light dry malt. A whisper of orange hop - tiny bit of grassiness. Finishes dry.

Cask@GBBF2010. Yellowish golden colour with small white head. Aroma is fruits, earth, wood and some mild grassy notes. Flavour is grassy, a bit nutty, caramelly, eggy and some earthyness.

From cask. Pours clear and golden yellow with fully gone head. Aroma is malty, slight butterish and vague citrusy. Flavour is the same. Light bitterness coming through into a medium dry finish.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A hazy orange beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is suphury and hoppy, while the flavor mainly is sweet with notes of a hop variety I don’t like.

Butter aroma. Malty flavour. Harsh bitter finsih. Quite thin and watery.

Cask (gravity dispense) at GBBF 2005. Not so long ago, these golden ales were interesting because of their novelty. Now the style is in danger of becoming hackneyed and the beers need something a bit special to stand out from the pack. This one just didn’t have it. Citric and quite bitter, but that’s about it. Not very aromatic and not much depth of flavour. Palatable but uninspiring.

Apples, winegums, butter and brown sugar in the aroma along with some peppery spiciness. Odd and not very appealing. Clear yellow-golden body with low, white, large-bubbled, mostly diminishing head. Buttery, sugary, lemon-lime and black pepper flavours that do not blend together at all well. Assertive bitterness. Light body with moderate carbonation but slick and watery texture. Cask at GBBF 2005.

[Cask conditioned] Pale golden coloured. Rather yeasty aroma. Sweet and buttery flavour with citrusy notes. Thin. Strange.
