2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
There HAD to be a concoction by one of my top favourite breweries that I finally did not like. And this is the one. This Janszoon pale ale is just too grassy, too herbal and too citric for my particular preferences. Gutted to give it a low score, but hey, there HAD to be one...

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Another golden ale. As promising as the last? Certainly lighter than the Monkey Wizard Savvy Blonde but does it have as much character? A sparkling goldie with excellent lace. The aromas of this ale are of herbaceous leaves like sage, grass, lemongrass, buttercups and a bit of cereal. This is one well suited to aromatic Asian foods. The flavours are much the same with plenty of carbonation that bring up a stomach full of burp (I like). Lemony and tart, this beer sits cleanly on the palate with puckering tartness. Enjoyable enough but perhaps a little delicate for a rufty tufty swashbuckling bastard like me. Arrr.
