Bottle from Plonk. A really nice english bitter, classic ESB aromas and flavours. Loved it.

i only had this recently, but oddly can’t remember much about it. all i remember was typical a middle-of-the-road session with pleasant fruit and bitterness. was nice anyway.

Not a bad beer, nice bitterness with a subtle hint of hops that are not overpowering. An OK beer.

Pours golden with good head. Aroma is slightly malty and hoppy. Bitter smooth creamy taste. Kinda made me burp after each swig though. Not sure why.

Draught @ The Free House, Nelson. The aroma is just light hoppy, bit malty. Clear, amber coloured with a slight off-white head. The taste is slightly toasted, has some hoppiness, citrus, quite clean.

UPDATED: MAR 23, 2012 Bottle. Cloudy dull amber with a coat of off-white head. Fruity aroma with apples, pears, oranges and a little toffee. Lovely soft mouthfeel. Taste is strongly malty with sweet - and slightly buttery - toffee and fruit before a decent whack of slightly spicy bitterness. The finish doesn’t emerge seamlessly - there’s a bit of a lurch.

Copper color. Earthy, malty. Decent backbone with some soft hops. Nice, but not setting the world on fire.

Tasted on tap at Pommeroy’s, handpull. Warm nutty brown-amber in colour under a tight white collar of head that lasted to the bottom of the glass. Good malt driven aroma of thick brown sugar, walnuts and malt biscuits. Similar flavours upon tasting, sweet and full with lots of body but not a great deal of bitterness. I did like this beer and my offsider and I went back for seconds, but sadly it sent my blood-sugar through the roof. Probably worth it though.

nutty, rounded aroma, pours rich deep red, fluffy frothy head. a bit sour, but full with bitter rounded wholesome notes on the tongue. medium bodied, slightly thick bitter, with a bit of fizz and lovely long bitter after taste. Enjoyable. I’m drinking this from a 500 ml bottle, but it tastes even better off the tap (or get a FYO from Regional). Lovely bitter, not flash, just solid and very drinkable.

330ml bottle. Solid looking in the glass with rich malty aromas that bounce up into your face. Deep light tan head that looks majestic atop a lightly copper coloured base. Strong malt flavour with some sweet flavours that hit the back of the mouth. Overall very good.
