3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Growler from the brewery, filled yesterday. Pours pale golden, clear, small white head. Grassy aroma, tiny bit of butterscotch in the background. Same in the taste, alongside some bready malts. Light bodied, low bitterness. Nothing wrong with it, however nothing to exciting about it. I’d much rather drink this than the macro lagers would I have to choose.

I drank this in Powell on draft and nought a couple of bottles to bring back to North Van. Draft was really refreshing and sessionable with nice citrus notes. Enjoyed it. Sadly like so many craft offering in smallpack....oxidized pretty bad. I would score it a 15 overall if the bottles were better.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear pale yellow pour with small bubbly head. Aroma of grassy hops, hay, corn and slight caramel. Taste of corn, metallic, grassy hops and wet cardboard. Light bodied, fizzy carbonation, light bitter finish. Too many good beers in the world to ever try this again.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is clean, with crackery malt, some Belgian yeast, and floral notes. Flavour is clean but fairly bland, with light Belgian yeast and floral crackery malt. Dry and drinkable. Thirst-quenching but fairly boring.

Jaune claire avec une petite mousse blanche. L’arôme du malt léger et un peu aigre avec un peu d’houblon. Le goût est du malt un peu acide avec une finition légèrement amer.

Rating #996 - February 18, 2014 -$5.69CAD for a bomber at Coop. Clear golden pour, steady white foam that bubbles away slowly to a soapy ring. Aroma is grassy malts, hints of caramel, lemon. Taste is a mild sweetness, honey, citrus followed by a mild hop bite. Pleasant.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
(650ml bottle) Purchased at liquor store next to Miracle Beach, BC. Pours a medium frothy head atop a highly carbonated light amber body. Nose of canned vegetable and nail polish. Very bland and lactic, lasting rotten apples through the finish. Not great.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle, shared with Smitty. Medium golden body, average white head, 5 minute retention, no lace. Aroma and flavour are the same: clean cereals with grassy hops, ending with mild bitterness. Satisfying in the hot sun, but not something that sufficiently rings my bell to warrant a repeat indulgence.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Mostly clear golden yellow, lasting small white head leaves some stepped soapy lacing. Muted grainy grassy aroma. Lightly bitter spicy grassy floral hops, grainy malt, hint of lemon, balances out nicely. Average carbonation, lighter bodied, lightly hopped. Clean crisp dry finish. Very enjoyable.
