santoslhalper (161), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 12, 2008 Pours a deep dark brown with red hues. A strong tan head sits on top and leaves beautiful lacing. Smells very smoky, with big molasses, chocolate, coffee, and hoppy notes. The taste is is full and creamy. Loads of bittersweet, roasty, coffee, cocoa, nutty, smoky and sweet notes abound with a long, grainy, bitter, dry finish. Much better than last years bottled version, in my opinion.

Roasty and bittersweet cocoa aroma with hoppy hints up front. Taste maintains the good hop presence with a chocolate and malty smooth finish.
