DandyWolfFloyd (200), Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 11, 2008 I love Hefe’s, but it’s still a steady climb to reach the Franziskaner summit. Aroma is stuffed full of that heavenly banana aroma, bubblegum, it’s a bit minor in cloves, and spices. It’s appearance is pale yellow-orange, with a huge head. It’s is that spicy bubble-gum - banana. It’s a bit lighter, but nonetheless awesome. It’s very smooth. Very much a session. CPeterson729 (1), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jul 8, 2008 A great beer to drink anytime--light but truly satisfying. Its rich color is visually pleasing while its level of carbonation keeps it tasting fresh for hours. Dream Weaver has strong notes of corn, making it great on a hot summer day. Although I am not a big fan of corn, this has become one of my favorite beers. gpekar (117), USA Jul 6, 2008 Poured a cloudy golden yellow with a tall foamy white head. There were some carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. The head left some lacing throughout the glass. There was a mild wheat aroma and some banana aroma. There was a slight tart and citrus spice flavor initially with a crisp finish, but on the mild side. Good wheat beer, but not my favorite. Bottle from a variety pack urraca (36), New Jersey, USA Jul 5, 2008 Great American Hefe. Classic, golden hazy pour. Aroma definitely has a nice spicy kick to it, with some banana, citrus, and spice- perhaps cinnamon. Very smooth and drinkable, but the wheat and malts just dance in your mouth, so it never gets boring. Tastes of bread, bananas, cinnamon, and malts. Some hints of hops to even it out. SlamDunkel (2), , New York, USA does not count Jul 4, 2008 Cloudy with that straw coloring to it. Smooth and easy to drink. Excellent banana and clove flavors but it hits you hard in the beginning, especially the spice, but the flavor does not linger. I also enjoyed the level of carbonation. One of the better interpretations of a German wheat from the US.
