psuCE03 (115), York, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 16, 2007 Dark amber color with a good head and moderate lacing. Good flavor with a hoppy ending.
BillKismet (1518), Seattle, Washington, USA Jan 6, 2009 Mahogany-amber with thin silken head. Refreshing burst of PNW hops. notably Cascade. Hint of bubblegum. Pleasantly flavorful pop of hop flavors and crystal malts with the reappearance of bubble gum. A well-balanced, well-hoped amber that makes for a solid session candidate. Troegs is just one of those breweries that just makes good beer.
this beer pours a really great amber color such that is suggested by the name
The balance of hops and malts in this beer makes it smooth and easy to drink. I wish we could get it out here in Chicago. The aroma is clean with a very good hop nose to it with malty undertones
I really like this beer. KawaBomber (165), New Jersey, USA Dec 31, 2008 12oz Bottle: Poured dark amber with a tiny biege head. Aroma is full of citrus hops with sweet malt in the background. Flavor is of piney hops with a nice malt backbone. Very well balanced, drinkable beer. Slightly bitter finish. Very smooth, nice beer to keep around... Beardface (344), Eugene, Oregon, USA Dec 29, 2008 12 oz bottle from Market of Choice, was very random to find this here in Oregon, but I was happy to give it a shot. Nice amber pour with a moderate tan head. Nice big hoppy flavor which is unusual for the style. Pretty well balanced as well, nice malt flavors. Solid offering though I was expecting a little more from what I have heard about this brewery. ROGUE (387), Newark, Delaware, USA Dec 26, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours amber with off white head. Aroma is floral hops, caramel malt and citrus. Flavor is hoppy with notes of citrus and pine with nice caramel malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium with good carbonation. Nice hoppy amber ale.
