checkmatei1 (244), Willow Grove, USA Feb 1, 2008 Tasting @ Capone’s: Poured a clear golden yellow with not too much head. The aroma was that of some pine and earthy hops. The flavor was well balanced, with a clean hoppy finish. Very drinkable and very good tasting Pale Ale.

Aroma - Toffee and light fruit, faint citrus and earthy hops
Appearance - Thin, off white head under a clear gold pour, lasting thin layer of foam, sliding wispy lace
Flavor - Background of light, fruity sweetness, up front, mild citrus zest bitterness finishes
Palate - Medium body and carbonation, clean, zesty dryness
Overall - This is a good, drinkable, APA with nice balance and nothing that is overstated or excessive. afireinside96 (428), Mountville, Pennsylvania, USA Aug 18, 2008 12oz bottle served in a shaker glass. Golden pour with an inch thick head forming on top that lasts for most of the glass. Smells of citrus, grass, and pine. Smooth drinking with a big flavor, though not too much to keep it from being sessionable. Flavors of pine, caramel, and citrus. Finishes clean and thirst quenching. Very well done. BuckeyeSammy (363), New York City, New York, USA Aug 11, 2008 Nose is sweet malt, caramel. Not thin on the palate, full flavored. Piney hops, Lightly spiced well balanced full carbonation, sweet malt, floral notes. High drinkability. crazyvin (1079), New York, USA Aug 11, 2008 poured a nice deep amber hue with a nice slightly off white head. Aroma had mostly pine notes and some caramel notes. Avery crisp flavor with a great hop profile. Medium body. DarkBeer (47), Ohio, USA Aug 6, 2008 I’m going from memory here, but I had a couple of glasses of this stuff in Gettysburg a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Very good pale ale, and as good a reason as any to get back to Pennsyvlania soon.
