CaptainCougar (4599), Rockville, Maryland, USA Dec 22, 2007 Bottles thanks to mj and Dicksonbeer: Pours a barely-transparent dark mahogany with a large, spotty-lacing froth of beige head. Aroma of sweet dark caramel malts and a touch of black cherries and dark chocolate. Body starts oily and fairly full with a caramely sweetness and some resiny piny hop flavor and earthy bitterness along with some mild fusels and roasted malt toward the warming finish. An ok imperial stout that could probably use a little aging. hopscotch (4379), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Dec 10, 2007 Bottle… O-Town Throwdown Part Tres… Murky, dark, burnt orange ale with a mid-sized, creamy, tan head. Decent retention. The aroma is rich and malty with barely more than a hint of chocolate. Bitter-sweet, roasted, chocolaty flavor. Medium to full-bodied with lively carbonation. A touch thin for an imperial stout. Burnt, moderately bitter finish. hopdog (4371), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA Dec 5, 2007 12oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a large sized tan head. Aromas of chocolate, pine, roast, and vanilla. Tastes of chocolate, vanilla, pine, roast, and a trace of caramel. Thinner for an Imperial Stout. Alcohol content well hidden. Lacing left on the glass.
