Oh hark, what glow doth rise above. It is beyond me, then comes into the sun. How she plunges into that icy crevasse. So young, now exposed. A longing mistress, wanting romantic throws. How do we say: love is bittersweet duress?
Ignited and released, she glows dewy green, young and bright. A crystal clear aura stacked with white wisps of clouds- her beauty, however, is not without bounds. Thinning white hair flows is forced to wilt, but leaves behind a thirsting guilt. Ah- what shall we say to lovers so delicate. Beauty is for nought, but the mind is permanent.
What then, does a floral spring strike the nose. Sweet cubes of sugar with fruits of the East and blooming rose. Ripe and pithy melon with bails of hay, wet and tarnished. Raw and rustic duel and play. Salty leather, garden herbs, and summer lemon; they dance in a teapot of fresh grass, local flowers, and tart persimmon.
To the tongue, a fresh and bright bitter grass with both bite and sting. Baker’s dough meets farmer’s seasonal well being. Sweetness lives no more. Complete balance- Libra is her metaphor. For the end is endless. A finish tight and seamless. For the Lord hath shine upon the woods of Penn and blessed his brewer sons. And the Czech moon bows tonight, waiting for the sun.

Merv drinks this shit.

Bright yellow color, with a white head. Strange cinnamon aroma. Quick bitter flavor. Dry mouthfeel.

Poured from a bottle into a pilsner glass. Appearance is a bubbly gold with a thin white head that diminishes quickly to almost nothing. Aroma is grainy and a skunky sweetness that I seem to find a lot in pilseners. Taste is grainy, grassy, and a touch doughy. Light on the tongue with a quick finish and a faint aftertaste of sweet grass.

12oz bottle pours clear pale gold with a small white head. Aroma of floral hops, light malt, and grassy. Taste has a sharp hop spice, bready yeast, hop bitterness, and some zesty lemon grass. Nice!

Bottle from James - thanks! Clear yellow pour with a frothy white head. Aroma is clean floral hops and light sweet malt. Crisp feel in the mouth with light floral hops, fruit (melon, perhaps light grape), and a crisp malt back bone. Even though this bottle it s bit aged it is still a great beer. Would love to track down a fresh bottle.

Served on-tap at the Troegs tasting room into a Pilsner Glass. A - Pours straw yellow with a thick pillow of one and a half finger tall white head, dissipating down to a tick film, leaving light webs of lacing down the glass. S - Smells of pale, dry, malt with some earthy hops cutting thru it toward the end. Some very faint citrus fruits come out as it warms up a bit but I really don’t get more than that. T - The initial crisp feel is enveloped quickly by the huge amount of chewy malt. Mixed in with all that chewiness is hints of grassy hops and dulled citric fruits. Finish is just as chewy as the start with plenty of it sticking around long thru the finish. I am not sure but I have a feeling this draft might have been from the bottom of the keg. I like this beer a lot, it is one of my go to beers during summer, but the overall chewy feel really wears on you over the course of multiple servings. M - Medium-light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Thick, chewy, feel with plenty of it lingering long thru the finish. D - Not bad. I do enjoy this time of year when the sunshine comes out. The only drawback to this beer is the over the top chewy feel. It really prevents me from having more than one or two of these at a time. Still solid tho.

12oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a clear gold with a fizzy head that fades rather quickly. Smell is grainy malt along with some spicy hops with maybe a touch of citrus. The taste is a nice bready grain along with a nice assertive hop flavor. Bitterness is present throughout and seems to increase as the other flavors fade and lingers for awhile. This beer is hoppier than a lot of other German pilseners. Overall I thought this was a pretty good beer. It was on sale for $3.99/6 pack and I think it’s a steal at that price. Glad I picked some up.

Aroma is mellow floral. Color is light yellow, almost too pale. Flavor is not very hoppy or bitter. Will not be mistaken for classic Czech of German pilsener, but pretty good for a summer beer.
