hiddenvariable (181), pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Apr 2, 2008 almost perfectly clear, almost no color at all. a very pale yellow, but with a nice white head that sticks around for a while and laces nicely. nice grassy and spicy noble hop flavor, with a clean honey/straw malt. very dry smell. clean dry taste of slightly fruitier hops, as well as that (saaz?) spice and earthiness. the malt is more prominent, but it’s so not sweet that it’s hard to pinpoint the flavor. the overall effect is something like a lightly flavored cake, and i can’t put my finger on the flavor, but it’s very springy. it’s a spring cake. i wouldn’t call it complex, but it’s definitely hard to describe. very dry finish, with a light but resinous hop bitterness. quite light bodied but with a great mouthfeel. plenty of carbonation. very refreshing. can cake made of spring be refreshing? if it can, this is what that is. i like lawnmower beers, and this one works great.
JoeMcPhee (3643), Jackson Heights, New York, USA Jul 25, 2008 Very pale golden/straw colour brew with a thick white head. Aroma is quite light but with a bright grassy hoppiness. Fairly assertive, floral bitterness over a lean but crisp pilsener malt base. Lightly grassy and a little bit minerally. It’s a pretty solid pils. crazyvin (1057), New York, USA Jul 20, 2008 A yellow hue reminiscent of pale lagers , a long lasting white head. Which had nice retention and lacing. Aroma was malty, almost corn-like and floral hop note. Flavor had some mild bitterness to it, but real mild malt notes Well balanced and light, not to powerful for a hot summer’s day. WillandhisKilt (1), , Pennsylvania, USA does not count Jul 16, 2008 Not being a fan of Pilsners, I found this to be exceptional! I tend to find most Pilsners bland and well kind of useless. This doesn’t have much is the way of looks or aroma but it makes up for it in taste. I was introduced to this a few years back and we make sure we take a case with us every time we tailgate! gpekar (117), USA Jul 12, 2008 Poured a clear, pale, light yellow with a nice tall, foamy, bright white head. Nice carbonation bubbles rising in the glass. Not much aroma to this one. Good carbonation led to a crisp clean taste that developed a mild bitterness on the finish. A good lawnmower beer moseslikesbeer (153), conestoga, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 6, 2008 bottle from afireinside, thanks Waylon!
another good beer from the Troegs bros. Aroma of hops and flowers. Looks the way a pilsener should. Light gold color and some carbonation. Tatses much like it smells. Hops(that didn’t kill me) and earthy flavor just right for summertime drinking.
