Ungstrup (11353), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 24, 2006 A hazy orange beer with an orange head. The aroma is sweet hoppy with notes of peaches and some notes of dust. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of fruit, some of it a bit over ripe, as well as light notes of alcohol, but only light especially compared to the 11% ABV. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Dec 30, 2006 Updated: Feb 1, 2007Bottled at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Clear dark amber, brief head. Aroma of fruit and candy sugar as well as red currant liqueur. Sweet with clean mouthfeel. Some caramel lies underneath the red currant, and there are loads of malt. The massive alcohol is hidden in sweet malt, yet it does not become sticky. Finishes almost without bitterness. A complex and nicely warming beer. Papsoe (10267), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 7, 2006 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Beautiful, clear dark amber with an off-white head. Aroma of cherries and alcohol. Rather solid body with a warming alcohol, lightly spicy and with the cherries popping up again in the flavour. Even without any real hoppiness this manages to remain harmonious and very drinkable. 060706 Oakes (6966), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 10, 2005 Bright copper-amber colour. Cherryish, alcoholic aroma. Light "Belgian" yeast accents highlight this strong ale, complementing the husky malt character, hint of spices. The cherry seems more in the aroma than the palate, which is good because the taste is a little oversweet. joergen (6529), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 7, 2006 Bottle.
