best type of vegetable abbey style aroma i have ever experienced. nice red brew with a really good corresponding cap (merry xmas!). flavor of sour dark cherries and brandy. beautifuly lightlysweet and mellow of soul with the corriander and clove spice that may light up the great minds of some belgian brewmasters. gentle and sublte are quite appropriate words here and i am glad i was in a frame of mind to appreciate! top quality flavor components , good carbonation, a different twist in the body and a hook! marvelous!

presumably last year’s bottle by way of machfive55.... pours crystal clear and a very red shade of amber. it has a small whitish head which fades quickly to nothing. sweet aroma though it’s hard to place what kind of sugar... honey, brown sugar and caramel are noted along with vanilla, fresh cherries and cinnamon. awfully sweet on the palate... though strangely not sticky? flavors of chocolate, vanilla, cherry skins and bruised meat, spice and a rather disappointing finish.... disappointing because it doesn’t really change from the flavor. maybe it’s a bit less sweet and slightly bitter from the spice? medium body with a meh feeling on the tongue. 11% is incredibly well hidden. unfortunately, under a blanket of sugar.

12-oz. Thanks, Skoi! Crystal clear bright amber with light gray swirls on top. Not nearly as rubied as the photo, but mine was a smaller pour. Definite honey nose, in a grassy way. Mild creamy body, lots of pie spice, a little tiny bit of cherry. Long sweet finish. Lots of sugar throughout. A bit too restrained to be of much interest, but it certainly hides the booze exceptionally well.

Bottle from Beerman6686. Thanks! Pours a reddish tone with a thin head. Aroma is strong with lots of yeasty spice, some sweet cherries, honey, and lots of nail polish remover. Flavor is alcoholic throughout. Sweet cherry syrup, yeast, jet fuel, spice. Overly sweet, extremely heavy, too hot. I did not really like this one at all.

Growler from the Brewery. Pours a crystal clear red-amber color with a thin, creamy off-white head that diminishes quickly but resurrects with a slight swirl of the glass. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of bubble gum and cherries. Flavor is a sweet blending of bananas, bubblegum, cherries and cloves. Finish is warming. Medium bodied, soft carbonation.

Pours a clear rose wine color with a small, foamy, khaki colored head. Soapy lacing mostly rejoins the body. The aroma shows sweet candy sugar and honey, artificial, medicinal cherries, and a hint at floral hops. The taste of cherry cough syrup is not a welcomed one, and nor are the attempted cover-ups of honey, sugar, and floral blossoms. A sticky, syrupy body sits goes down too thick and sits heavy in the stomach. This one is way too big of a beer for what it delivers, and it feels like it was thrown together on a moment’s notice. Quite simply put, its a mess.
