Black of color with a brown head. An aroma of sweets, liqurice, caramel and weak dark fruits as prunes and blackcurrant. A flavor of sweets, liqurice, prunes, blackcurrant and weak bitterness in the finish.

A: The beer pours a dark brown color with a creamy tan head. S: Very oxidized. Almost sherry- or port-like. Big dark fruits and a bit of booze. Some dark chocolate and a lot of roasted malts. Not too much roast or oatmeal character. T: Lightly roasty with a lot of dark chocolate and some noticeable alcohol--almost like a chocolate liqueur. Some dark fruit flavors like prunes and plums. A little bit of cardboard oxidation. M: Medium to full in body with a low to medium carbonation. Really heavy on the tongue. O: Some good things to it, but some negative ones as well. And, too boozy.

Bottled. An unclear red-brown beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt, over ripe fruits, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet malty with lighter notes of roasted malt, over ripe fruits, and alcohol, leading to a dry, fruity, and roasted finish.

Not a great beer at all, not terrible, I wouldnt buy it again. I was expecting substantially more. tasted like your run of the mill american stout stepped up a notch.

12oz bottle thanks to dashirey on BA. Pours dark brown, but light in color for the style, with a little bit of tan foam sitting on top that fades to swirls. Aroma is lots of sherry-like oxidation. Roast and chocolate as well. Flavor is nice and chocolatey. Pretty subtle for an RIS. Some dark fruits and sherry-like oxidation. Like a toned-down, aged Kate the Great almost. Medium-light bodied for the style, but very smooth. Low carbonation. Very enjoyable aged imperial stout overall. Drinkable.

12oz bottle. When I first started on this brew I was thinking Barley Wine, I guess I was wrong. Pours a very dark caramel brown with a sea foam like beige head, some spotty lacing. Sweet toffee, caramel, brown sugar and candied dark fruits in both the nose and the flavor. A little watery on the palate with a light hop bitterness.

Dark brown with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and overripe fruits. Flavour was sweet with burned malt, dark chocolate, caramel and coffee notes. Finished swee with warming alcohol.

Pours a slightly hazy brown amber color with a tan head. Aroma is caramel, toffee, chocolate, molasses, cocoa, crystal malt, raisins, and a touch of biscuit. Flavor is caramel, plum, raisins, chocolate, and some alcohol.
