COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Served in a Pub glass. Taste the naturally rich flavor of the earth in this thick malty beer with chocolate and dark roast malts, farm fresh rolled oats and all natural ingredients. Full bodied with a finish on the drier side of the palate.

Beer #43 of NM 100. I almost really like it, but instead I just donít like it. It has a super dry roasted grain flavor, but also then some other various nastiness. Not sure what, sometimes I find it chalky sometimes vegetal, sometimes cherry and acidic. I donít know. I think the choice of hops is part of the problem strangely enough.

A little thinner than Iíd like for the style. Clean and sweet, refreshing. Lacking some smoky depth and chocolate notes.

On tap at GABF 2012. Pours a pure black color with a medium tan head. A big nose of smoke and vanilla. The flavor is sweet malts, chocolate milk, a bit of a thin body, some light roast and caramel. Decent.

12 oz bottle. Poured a dark brown color with a two finger tan head. The aroma was roasty, and thatís about it. The flavor was almost watery. Roasted malt and some nuts were present, but not dominate. This wasnít a very good beer.
