Served in a Pub glass. It’s all about balance with the brilliant golden IPA. It pours with a frothy white head that is accompanied by a pleasant hop aroma which has hints of pine and fresh lemon. An excellent blend of northwestern hops and a touch of biscuit malt give Almanac IPA a refined bitter finish which is dry, refreshing and very easy to drink.

Draft at the brew pub by UNM. Pours a clear copper color with a light hoppy aroma. Weird, malty taste with hops lingering. One of the worst IPAs I have ever had.

Can at home. Pours lightly hazy orange with a medium, frothy off-white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is dank hops, light celery and lemon hops with biscuit malt and pear esters. Flavor is moderate dank hops and bitterness, light biscuit malt and pear esters with a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

Aroma has a fresh grassy, slightly herb like quality. A pale, gold color, clear sparkling liquid. Minimal head. Lightly sweet front, with a medium bitterness. Light hoppy, refreshing finish. A very good IPA without the need to destroy your palate with hops. Easy to drink, and drink... and drink!

It’s okay, not terrible, not exceptional. One of those middle of the road IPA’s. Little bit of citrus aroma some subtle tropical notes. Taste is about the same. Light citrus and hoppiness. Not much else really going on. Isn’t gonna blow you away or hop bomb your face off but it’s a good easy to drink IPA. Cheers

Draft at GBBF 2013 - London. Decent stuff, lots of ripe lemon, hay and white bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. More ripe citrus to finish. Decent.

Extreme disappointment is all I can say. So many good New Mexico beers. This is not one of them. Aroma is that if dishwater. Taste is bad. After taste is worse. I tried this beer pored from a bottle. Maybe it's tolerable on Tap??? ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Gravity dispense at GBBF ’13, 13/08/13. Very lightly hazed golden blonde with a thin off white head. Nose is citrus, grapefruit, orange, hops, light pine. Taste comprises floral hops, orange pith, pine resin, juicy citrus notes, grass. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, grassy hop bitterness in the finish. Great IPA, tasty stuff indeed.

Appearance of this beer was weird, it was a murky brown amber color with a big white head. Aroma was piney, floral, with some tropical fruit and some earthy and nuttiness, seemed kind off. Something about the aroma was not right, the color was different from all the IPA’s I’ve tasted. Taste was earthy, nutty, bready, with some pronounced hops. Bitterness on the back end. Interesting to say the least.
