Clear amber beer. Softish semi dry palate. Bitter hops are immediately evident alongside some bitter lime. Not much else going on other than a dry finish with a bitter lime aftertaste.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
29-Apr-10 (22-oz bottle: Purchased 30-Dec-09 for $4.81 at www.liquidsolutions.net) The lime leaves don’t really have much impact on this beer, at least not in terms of actual lime flavoring. Rather, this just seems like a typical Pacific Northwest IPA with a malty base that is moderately sweet, grainy, and slightly caramely, and a resiny, piney hop flavor that tends to overpower the malt in the finish, leaving medium to strong bitterness lingering in the mouth. There is a vague citrus flavor in the background, but it’s generally not a factor in the overall flavor. The nose offers grassy hops, grainy malts and citrus, but doesn’t smell sweet. Hazy golden-amber body is initially capped by half an inch of off-white head that settles to a filmy layer and wide ring, leaving a bit of spotty lace on the glass. An average IPA across the board.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
courtesy of googzoid10, always nice to try these nice West coast beers.
pours hazy orange, light off-white head.
aroma, mostly a thin lemony scent, hops, herbal notes
flavors, light and delicious lime palate not adding too much of tartness, zesty with touch of malts, light bitetrness with a lemongrass palate. Lime is a little light but blends well with the IPA approach clocking at 7.5% this was easy to drink.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to SeaBass for bringing this unique treat.
A: Pours a orange like orange highlighter in water. Nice tall white head. No retention with some lines of lace.
S: Aromas of fresh pine, lime, and earthy tea.
T: Earthy for sure... like fresh tea. Mild citric notes but lime does not necessarily stand out.l Caramel malt, mild more pale ale than IPA.
M: On the lighter side of medium, smooth.
D: Good, light, can’t believe this one is nearly 8% ABV.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had at the Ravenous Pig the first night of RBWG 2010! Much more subdued in aroma and flavor than I was expecting. It may be my previous brews, but I’m having a hard time getting much out of this one. A bit bitter but not much else going on.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle… RBWG ‘10… Mostly clear, light golden ale with a small, creamy, white head. Excellent retention. Earthy, grainy, limey nose. Medium-bodied with a slightly buttery mouthfeel and tickling carbonation. The flavor is bitter with a hint of lime. Lengthy, bitter, bone-dry finish. Bottle courtesy of kp!

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
An intriguing lime and hop aroma on this hazy orange beer with ample white head. A faint malt body with plenty of hops and a nice lime character. Very solid.
