3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours black with a rapidly disapating tan head. The aroma is coffee. That’s all. And lots of it. Body is not quite medium. Flavor is really strong coffee, might be some chocolate, but strangely I think there’s some capsaicin. It’s rich, coffee and quite flavorful. I might go for some mocha here. But no matter what I think I taste, the next mouthful is super coffee. Good coffee too.

Thanks to Andre for the bomber! Poured deeper brown with just a little life to it.. the head settled quickly. The aroma picked up softer, sweeter chocolate and coffee notes, with touches of vanilla and earth accenting.. roast was moderate, and a touch of oxidation was evident.. soft and fairly benign, but enjoyable. The flavor found syrupy roasty coffee throughout, with touches of molasses and chocolate joining.. the coffee didn’t stand out by any means, but it was again enjoyable.. sweeter, roasty coffee at the end. Light-medium-bodied with a dry roast throughout on the palate.. tacky at times.. overall a very drinkable beer, but quite forgettable.

22. Pours black with a wispy swirl of grayish head that never really materializes beyond that level. Big roasty dark coffee nose, smells like a full-roast coffee served hot and steaming. Creamy medium body with virtually no carb at all. What happened there? A beer this big and this fresh, it had to be an oversight in production. Rich roasty toasty coffee mid-palate with a long coffeeish finish. Could use a bit more complexity, but shows some promise.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nose of fresh dark coffee beans, hints of roast, oat, dark chocolate. Pours dark brown, thin tan head. Flavors of dark roast coffee up front, some dark chocolate bitter sweetness, light sweetness underneath. Solid nose and flavor. Body seemed a little thin and thats probably my only complaint, but still a really nice beer.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Big dark black beer, tons of coffee and dark chocolate aroma and flavors. This was thick with roasty malt and light hops. Dry finish this warmed up well. I liked the beer needs to be a seasonal for the winter months.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Creamy medium roasted coffee nose accented with vanilla. Soft bodied in the glass, thin black and a tan head that initially formed a nice frame but fell quickly. Light and almost airy on the palate, still has a creamy body with a rounded coffee character, a little raw sugar and some welcomed hazelnut.

22oz bottle. Pours a chocolate black with a even tight tan head. Nose full coffee nose with chocolate, oats, and plenty of roast. Great coffee nose. Decent mouthfeel, on the light side, and perfect carb feel. Sweet nutty coffee, touches of milk lacto, hints of chocolate and coffee throughout. Enjoyable but after sipping on it for a bit, I’d like a bit more body and flavor from the base beer.
