Soft sour nose. Like sweet and sour sauce more or less. Golden pour, thin head. Flavor is similar with a hint of vinegar and sweetness at the same time. Lightly fruity with a hint of hops in the finish. Really reminiscent of sweet and sour sauce, would be good with asian food.

Tap @ Belmont Station... Poured a hazy golden with a white head. Loads of bubbles were rising to the top. I hadn’t had their other ginger pale, so I can’t compare. Ginger on the nose. Airy, bubbly carbonation. Strong ginger upfront with a souring finish. A little lime, citrus tartness in the finish. It became more sweet, with a candy-like quality as it warmed. If you like ginger beer, you’ll love this.

Murky orange, scarce head.Tart nose. Starts sweet , then acidic sourness. Puckery. Big ginger taste, but this beer has no ginger

On tap. I’m not a big fan of their Ginger Pale Ale, but this beer gets the ginger involved without letting totally dominate, and it ends up being a tasty, refreshing beer.

Tasted at Malt and Vine. Definitely interesting, smells of both vinegar and almost anise. Yellow amber with a small head. Palate is fairly carbonated but not too thin. Taste is initially sour, than the hops come through, and finishes actually a bit more sweet. It’s surprising.

Aroma: Sweet malt aroma with good hoppy backing and a odd sour note.
Appearance: Amber in color, clear with a thin head.
Flavor: Sweet malt flavor with a a nice IPA hops then this was Sour. This we found out was inoculated with Lactobacillus to make it sour also.
Palate: Dry Sweet/Sour finish, with a Good Mouthfeel.
Overall: This was a nice beer. Yes it was sweet and sour. Just like a Sweet and sour chicken. Awesome beer these guys are doing some fun stuff.
