With batch number and date on back label, 07/19/05. Made a very promising appearance, poured an unfiltered straw yellow with a large foamy white head with good retention and a fair amount of sticking. Had a nice aroma, banana yeasty with hints of cloves and bubblegum. Good carbonation and a smooth, crisp medium bodied mouth feel, good drinkability. Taste was bananas, clove spiciness, bubblegum and a mellow wheaty malt base with a clean sweet aftertaste.

There should be a category for breakfast style beer. This has a cornflakes taste, with some honey, banana and clove thrown in on top in small doses. Bland and boring.

My brother Rick brought me this one and I have to say it is incredibly overrated on this website. I don’t know if most people have no idea what a good German Hefeweizen should taste like, but this is not it! Clear with no head at all. Light orange flavors. Where the hell is the "hefe" in this one? Nose was nice with spice, banana, and silage (rotten old corn stalks). First taste is pure steel... I thought that I was sucking on a washer. Some spice sneaks out after that, but very metallic. Not good in any way. Lots of nice weizen carbonation but blah, blah, blah on taste. Boring beer to say the least.

Pours a hazy golden orange. Aromas of bread/clove/ and some fruit. Had a taste of yeasty bread with some spice.

One of my favorite styles and this has all the basics of a good hefe- banana, clove, bubblegum-all the good stuff. Considering its also $5.29/ 6pack its a great deal. Doesnt have as rich a mouthfeel as some of the more popular brands and could do better with a little less carbonation, but overall its very good.

Hazy orange with a big thick head. Rich spicy banana aroma and flavor. Nice bubble gum flavor on the finish. Good shit.

Makes me wish it was Summer, but this hefeweizen is decent enough to be enjoyable even on a cool, damp Winter night in Chicago. Hazy gold with an initially bubbly white head, this has the pleasant aroma of fresh bananas, bubble gum, and a trace of lemony tartness. Sweet and fruity with some cloves and a mild acidity, this goes down real smoothly. And quickly. I’d drink it again.

A banana aroma. Cloudy Yellow body with decent head. Flavor had a decent texture to it. Good banana flavor dectectable. A sticky texture was also there. A good bubble gum aftertaste on the palate was a good surprise. Good brew may have to go back and get another six pack

12 oz bottle: Lasting white head on a hazy deeeeep golden body. Typical aromas in this hefe, wheat malt, clove, bubblegum, banana...But just a hint of diacetyl. More bubble gum than banana though, like drinking juicy fruit chewing gum. Well balanced flavor with wheat malt up front, a bit tart mid palate into the finish which is semi dry and wheat flavored. Bubble gum in between with very little clove spice in the flavor. The aftertaste is short lived and wheat malt flavored. higher carbonation, smooth m/f, a bit prickly. Overall a pretty good, CHEAP, hefe. Well worth the 5.00/6 pack!!!!

This was a pleasant suprise, bought on a whim. It’s now a staple of our beer fridge. Pleasant fruity aroma that carries into a wonderful banana tinted flavor. Great summer beer
