MoreHead (355), Minnetonka, Minnesota, USA Oct 18, 2006 poured a clear gold with average head and visible carbonation. aroma is tough to sense, maybe faintly of yeast. flavor followed suit by being light, dryness is the most memorable thing. least desireable of the tj beers i’ve had.
ucusty (1062), Wake Forest, North Carolina, USA Aug 27, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joes in Cary, NC. Clear yellow pour with fizzy white head. Corn and grains on the nose. Flavor is caramel, grains, and a light hoppy finish acrdz (4297), Boulder, Colorado, USA Aug 9, 2008 Hot day, drank from the bottle. Awesomely refreshing, crisp cracker malts, dry touch of light yeast, a musty, slightly stale hop note that still contains a little bit of snap. Refreshing for sure, but still tastes of cardboard and stale veggies/corn. Who cares. It’s hot out, I wanted a pils, this hit the spot. Sparky27 (516), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Aug 7, 2008 Bottle. Pours a clear amber with 3 finger cream head and decent lacing. Nose is caramel malt and lager yeast. Taste is malt and more malt with some bittering hops in the finish. Light to medium mouth feel. Meh, pretty boring. BrewDad (1657), Olympia, Washington, USA Jul 16, 2008 12oz Bottle - Trader Joes - Tacoma, WA
Aroma – Nice malt aroma with a good amount of spice and hops.
Appearance – Deep Golden in color, Nice head and clear.
Flavor – This had a good malt and hops balance with the malts being very pilsner style.
Palate – Good Mouthfeel, Decent texture with a dry finish.
Overall – A very average beer this was a nice lager for the night. Liked the easy finish.
awaisanen (1140), Irvine, California, USA Jul 13, 2008 From a 12oz Bottle. Crystal clear, golden hay colored pour with a thick head of fluffy white foam. Straight forward pilsner malt aroma with a touch of hops. Mostly clean, but I seem to be getting the faintest whiff of pear esters. More hops would be nice. Light bodied, crisply carbonated mouthfeel with a soft, malty texture. Flavors of light bready malt and a hint of cereal grain. A fleeting touch of herbal hops comes through on the back end. A pretty nice pilsner overall, especially in terms of mouthfeel, but it could really use a bigger saaz hop punch.
