3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a full, clear gold color and is topped by a frothy thin tan head that disappears fairly quickly. The aroma is grainy smelling and has a bit of alcohol in the finish. The aroma is pretty subdued, and because of that fairly disappointing. The taste is sweet up front with a solid sweet malt taste that has a hint of toffee to it. There is perhaps a hint of spicy hop notes here in the flavor and a bit of bitterness in the finish. This is clearly a well made beer, but it just is lacking in flavor and depth.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
This has got to be the lightest colored bock Iíve come across, itís even lighter than the Vienna Lager. The malt here is funky: a wierd caramel that is slightly toasty but just tastes stale. Usually bocks are flavorful enough that the typical lager funk is never present, but it is here, especially in the finish. Not a great start for the TJ beers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
I really liked this Bock. Leave it to Trader Joes to come through with a good brew and they will. Deep Golden color. Roger Burks was right with the transition of tastes, I completely agree. Definately good after taste that welcomes the next draw. Medium body. Good for the money, but what else is there to expect from TJís.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Great golden color. Inviting aroma, sweet yet bold. Taste goes from sweet to herbal to slightly bitter to malty - effortlessly. Great lingering palate. Easy drinking and refreshing - a real value.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
This brew pours with a deep golden body topped by a medium thick, white head with some lacing. The aroma is slightly malty and slightly sweet with a touch of sourness and grassy hop notes. The flavor is slightly bitter and salty with a grassy hop note and a slight malt note. Medium bodied, slightly dry and a touch warming.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Light amber gold color. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is malty, sweet, caramel with a touch of floral hops. A medium bodied bock. Malts are caramel and sweet. Hops are spicy (Holertau). It is a little harsh tasting, and there is a little bit of cardboard. Not very unpleasant, just a little disturbing. Malty, yet itís a little dry for a bock. I was expecting it to be a lot sweeter. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is crisp and dry. Aftertast is slightly bitter.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. A medium golden color with a diminished white head. Semi-sweet malt aroma with the familiar bock character. The bock flavors were a bit harsh. Rich in malts and caramel but its arrives with an odd dry punch that is neither robust nor ultimately satisfying.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle - pours clear, golden amber with a creamy off-white head that diminishes to nothing. Aroma is strong, malty, herbs and clover with a slightly skunky note. Flavor is not bad, very sweet - almost syrupy - a bit pungent with floral hops as well. Full body and gentle carbonation. A pretty good darn beer for $4.99 per six pack!
