(Bottle) Unusual for a bock. I dislike bocks but I like this beer very much. Moderately hoppy--definitely the hoppiest bock I have ever had. I like it very much. It still has the rich, somewhat comforting malt of a good bock. The high alcohol content is very well masked; all you notice is a little lingering alcohol aftertaste. A lot of complexity to the aroma...hints of fruitiness, hoppiness, maltiness emerging and then fading. A very good beer, and the best of the Trader Joe’s beers that I have yet tried.

Aug 27, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joes Cary, NC. Orange pour with loads of carbonation. Grassy hop aroma. Crisp clean and refreshing, again this was a little bland.

Aug 26, 2008 In bottle from Trader Joes Foggy Bottom. Golden amber color that pours with bubbles. Head dissipates, leaving lace. Aroma is sweet and lemony. Flavor is significant - roasted hops, honey, hops.

Aug 18, 2008 Bottle from Joes- Poured a caramel yellow with a fizzy white head, some lacing and carbonation. Grassy with some hops. A slight citrus note in there. For a Trader Joe cheap pick not bad. Refreshing.
