1.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20
Clear gold pour nil head. Smells slightly yeasty mostly like barley and pale lager hops. Tastes like a beany pale lager. Overhopped, watery, and barely drinkable.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is malty, apple, peppery, yeasty. The appearance is clear yellow, white head. The flavor is apple, yeasty. The finish is light pepper, yeasty. Medium, light in body. Not a good representation of the style, but I could drink these on a hot day at a BBQ.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Joseph Belgian Blonde Ale has a medium, white head, a mostly clear (very fine sediment is visible), bubbly, golden appearance, and a bit of lacing left behind. The aroma is faint, but one can detect mild malt and cracker. The taste is the same- mild cracker malt, with a kiss of hops at the end. Mouthfeel is medium and a somewhat slick, and Josef Belgian Blonde Ale finishes dry and easy going. No alcohol detected. RJT

2.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This beer isnít nearly as bad as most of the folks on here report. From an 11.2 oz. bottle, pours clear golden with a fat white head that leaves lacing. Aroma is minimal, some sweet malt and grass, no evidence of dry hopping. Taste is decent, good balance of sweet and bitter, tending more toward the sweet side, with a soft mouthfeel. It is clean, I donít detect any off flavors. Has a light body, slick texture, and average carbonation. For the price this is a pretty good Belgian ale from Trader Joeís.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
11.2 oz bottle poured a light, clear yellow with lots of fizz. Aroma is faint but i do detect a Belgium yeast quality. Taste is chemical and bitter. Dry long lasting astringent aftertaste. Its going to be hard to finish a 6 pack of this. Not good.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The aroma is of grassy malt, plus some hoppy notes that are tough to describe. The taste is OK , but has some undesirable bitterness. This beer is decent. There are more interesting Belgian beers out there, though.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Average looking pour, with a weird metallic malt aroma. This isnít bad tasting but itís so weird and average that itís hard to rate it higher than I have. Not horrible, I recommend you try it. For $1 a bottle @ Trader Joes itís worth one or two, right? Give it a shot and decide for yourself!

Bottle. Yellow, slightly fizzy looking pour with a white head. Grain, malt, little bit of floral aroma. Taste is grain. Pils like. Meh.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Clear, golden beer with a short white head that doesn't stick around. The aroma has a small bit of herbal hops, but it's mostly about the malt. It almost reminds me of a helles.
Surprisingly assertive bitterness. The malt on the nose doesn't come through in the flavor. Very dry. Very clean. Nothing objectionable, just a bit boring.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Light retention with no lacing. Smells of wheat grass and sweet cloves. Tastes of sweet biscuit and cereal, surprisingly. Decent aftertaste.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a very clear pale blonde color with a gigantic loose fluffy white head and nice lacing on the glass.
The aroma is sweet & boozy, itís got some odd lavender and dryer sheet thing happening. Itís got some honey & some malt... itís defiantly pungent but presents itís self as heavy to the point of uninviting.
The flavor is weird, itís kind of lavender forward but less soapy than a lot of lavender-forward beers. Itís got a touch of herbal bitterness & some bright malty character. Itís fine enough beer, and better than the aroma lets on.
Itís not a great beer by any stretch, but it is a shelf beer. Iíll stick up for it a little since itís not nearly as bad as the cumulative score here seems to suggest. I had plenty of beers that are worse in this style, many of them similarly from Belgium, that are rated especially higher than this one.
