UPDATED: MAY 23, 2013 Bottle from TJ’s. The cork made almost no noise when popped, not a good sign. Slightly hazy bright straw gold colored brew with a large lightly yellow tinted head. The funky pear nose has notes of hay and cinnamon. There is also more stonefruit smell, like plums. The body is thin and almost flat feeling in the mouth. The flavors are sweet pears, but that is light. A doughy finish with a little cinnamon and black pepper spice. Surprisingly thin feeling. Boring and uninspired, even at a low price. A bit of a dissapointment.

From the caged and corked 750 ml. bottle with an expiration date listed as 02-04-2015. This is a highly agitated, busily carbonated yellow pour with a huge, fluffy white head and great clarity. The aroma is of biscuit and pale malts, yeast, Belgian sugar, coriander, and clove. The body is medium with a vague acidity going on. The finish is clean and somewhat spicy. Well balanced.

750mL thanks to radagast83. Pours low haze, bright straw. Swathes of lacing. Nose is mild mint, starfruit, fresh dough, mild diaper plastic. Taste is hoppy, grassy, starfruit, cantaloupe, sugar. Palate is quenching, bitter, refreshing. Very drinkable, pretty much spot on for style. Impressive.

The taste is bread, yeast, spice, stone fruits, caramel. Mild hops, faint tannic note. Medium bodied with high carbonation. Solid.

Pailhead (5067) - Brownstown, Michigan, USA - MAY 2, 2013
Bottle: The aroma consists of banana, bubblegum, clove, citrus/orange peel, and ginger. It pours a hazy dull orangish-yellow with a somewhat fizzy white head that quickly fades to a minimal thin film outlined by a slightly thicker ring. The flavor starts with a quick dose of moderate banana and bubblegum. It quickly turns to moderate-heavy citrus with orange/orange peel, lemon, clove, and ginger in the finish. It’s light-medium bodied with somewhat lively, but not prickly, carbonation. Overall, it’s tasty and goes down way to easy for the abv.

Pours pale, murky yellow with a fizzy white head. Aroma is bright citrus on malt with spices. Flavor is sweet up front, followed by a dry champagne finish. Full-bodied, highly carbonated Belgian. Quite nice! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
