4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from TJ Berkeley. I love it when i can get a bottle of Unibroue for under $6. Dark yellow with a foamy white head. Grainy Belgian yeast, pear, banana, and apple aroma and taste with a sweet spice malty finish and a full bodied creamy palate.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
The aroma is earthy, peppery, fruit. The appearance is hazy yellow/orange, translucent, white head. The flavor is pepper, spicy, light fruit, crackers. The finish is spicy, orange peel, pepper. Medium in body, lots of carbonation. Decent. As with all trader Joe’s beers, great value for the money.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Appearance: cloudy, buttery gold with a huge, dense-yet-fluffy white head grudgingly shrinking, with active carbonation jets; poured into a tulip. Aroma: yeasty/spicy, with notes of champagne, white grapes, coriander, orange zest, banana bread, clove, and ginger. Taste: as the aroma indicates, but with some ritz-crackery malt threading solidly beneath the rest. Finish: tingly and spritzy with carbonation, leaving a bit of sweet and yeasty flavors behind. Notes: Fantastic, as you’d expect from Unibroue. Tastes very similar to their Eau Bénite (suspiciously so). Listen, you can get a 750ml bottle of Unibroue for $15.99, or get it for $5.99 at Trader Joe’s. That’s smart shopping with a delicious upside, because this beer is a winner.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
750 mL bottle. Pours a hazy light golden with a white head. Yeasty clove-y aroma typical of Unibroue beers with touches of spices and citrus. Characteristic yeasty clove flavor as well, apple, bready. Simple, but quite nice.
