Thanks to southbierbro. Pours a brilliant slightly yellow with a pure white head. The smell is spice, coriander, citrus and sweet, light malt. The taste is spice, fruit, ending dry with some major sweetness. Light body, fine carbonation.

Many thanks to John for sharing. Great floral fresh and yeasty-smooth nose. The beer starts very nice smooth, fresh, sweetish-malt, smooth yeastiness, spices and citrus. Clove, nice smooth bitterness. Fresh, easy to drink brew with still deepness.

750 from TJ’s for 5.99 - turbid gold - nose is tripel-ish in character - some pear esters, orange peel, spicy phenolics, some crusty maltiness, dusty/earthy yeast - actually very pleasant in the nose - flavor is medium sweet, with a balancing tartness and spice - a touch of banana esters, tart apple and pear - carbonation is a little low, so the overall texture is a little flat, but overall a nicely done Belgian and great for the price.

Light hazy orange. Sweet fruity, light spice, ginger, light herbal notes. Thin carbonated body. Pretty solid but a little too mago for me.

Trader Joe’s Providential Belgian Style Golden Ale is really good for a grocery store brand - probably because it is made by a well-respected brewer. Pour is a cloudy yellow but the fizzy white head thins too quickly. Aroma is an intoxicating sweet blend of fruit and spices. Taste is also sweet and fruity with some spice notes -- a nice blend of hop, malt and yeast profiles. Providential is well worth the buy at your Trader Joe’s.

Pours a cloudy yellow gold with a foamy white head that thins. Aroma has some potency: cereal, floral, dough, and some clove. Flavor is way off balance an super sour. It does not please this beer drinker.

Nice fluffy head and a bright fruity aroma and flavor. Very juicy although a bit sweet with some tartness. A very good beer for the price.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2015 (Bottle). Well recommended from my friend Linda. Clear light-golden complexion with long-lasting white head. Fresh aroma of yeast and spices. Flavor of Belgian yeast with some citrus, banana, spices and subtle malt sweetness. An excellent representation of the style. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
From 750ml, corked, bought at Trader Joes for about $6-7
Aroma: Belgian golden/tripel! slight spicy, banana, floral
Appearance: golden, cloudy, fluffy white head
Taste: light sweet, light bitter, light sour
Palate: light body, average carbonation, lingering spicy finish
Overall: A really good Belgian beer for value. If this had a different label, it’d sell for twice as much. Nice Belgian yeast, almost like Unibroue’s La Fin du Monde tripel. Some spice mixed with some fruitiness. Good balance. Leans more to the Tripel’s spicy/fruity style than Golden Ale’s fruity/spicy, but nonetheless, a good and solid Belgian Golden Ale. If doing a blind tasting of Belgian beer, I’d definitely include this one since it’s good value and good taste will surprise those sampling.
