Bottle, 75cl corked. It’s a lighlty hazy golden beer with a two-finger white head. Orange peel, grass and a little peppery hoppyness in the aroma, some pale malts and a yeasty hint as well. The flavor has a nice citrus peel touch, with a fine bitterness and some peppery hints. Some yeast notes and banana too. Slightly warming on the palate, a bit too much for a beer at 7.5% ABV I think, with a full body and a quite soft but a bit flat carbonation. Long, bitter and fruity finish. Except that it is a bit alcoholic, it’s a fine brew I wouldn’t mind drinking more of. 130808

Hazy gold with a big white head. Smells of muted banana yeast, tart, markers(alcohol). Tastes sour & winey with bits of chewy barley flavor with a dry procecco-like finish. Not as effervescent as I was expecting. Sorta watery. Almost reminiscent of a berlinerweis. Good, but I prefer the the other, blonder options from unibroue.

750 ml bottle from Trader Joe’s in Cincinnati. $4.99. Yes, please. Pours a hazed pale golden color with a hint of yellow-orange and an inch of frothy head. Notes of citrus fruits, mellow spices, bready and sweet malts, ginger, clove, coriander, apricot, and a long floral character throughout. Medium-bodied, with medium carbonation and a bready, fruity, floral mouthfeel. The Unibroue beers for Trader Joe’s are really an awesome buy. I’ll keep taking advantage of it every year.

750ml bottle, caged & corked. Best Before: 02-04-2015. Fruity yeast esters. Pours golden yellow, very cloudy from the lees. Fluffy white, airy foam. Very active carbonation, champagne bubbles. Nose of straw, yeast, and hints of lemon zest under the dough scent. Tastes like a Belgian Ale! Creamy texture. Straw, dough, tart fruit esters. Finishes with a light tingle on the tongue, very active & alive! Loads of malt character, well balanced. Great body and texture. (3757)

Bottle. A golden color with a white head. A nice spicy, citrus, and pepper aroma. I’ve always been impressed with this series of beers, especially for the price. It is a nice complex finish.

750 ml bottle into signature tulip glass, best before 9/28/2014. Pours slightly hazy bright golden amber color with a 2 finger foamy white head with decent retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with plenty of streaming carbonation retaining the head. Aromas of pear, apple, grape, lemon zest, clove, orange peel, pepper, ginger, light banana, wheat, herbal, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of yeast esters and spicing; with a moderate malt balance and good strength. Taste of pear, apple, grape, lemon zest, clove, orange peel, light banana, pepper, wheat, herbal, light ginger, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness. Lingering notes of light fruits, citrus, light banana, wheat, herbal, light ginger, light bubblegum, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of yeast, spice, and malt flavors; with zero cloying sweetness present after the finish. Medium-high carbonation and medium bodied; with a smooth, crisp, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with minimal warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice spiced Belgian golden ale. All around nice balance and complexity of spice and yeast ester flavors; and very smooth to sip on. A very enjoyable offering.
