Very good example of a Belgian Golden ale. Initially pours with a large head, but then settles down. Easy drinking with a lot of orange and spice nose.

Man, this is about a Belgian as a French Canadian beer can be. Brewed by Unibroue, this slightly cloudy golden ale underneath a fluffy white head. Distinct sweet yeast aroma permeates this deliciously herbal traditional Belgian golden. This is the real deal and only $6.99 at Trader Joes.

Appearance: cloudy, buttery gold with a huge, dense-yet-fluffy white head grudgingly shrinking, with active carbonation jets; poured into a tulip. Aroma: yeasty/spicy, with notes of champagne, white grapes, coriander, orange zest, banana bread, clove, and ginger. Taste: as the aroma indicates, but with some ritz-crackery malt threading solidly beneath the rest. Finish: tingly and spritzy with carbonation, leaving a bit of sweet and yeasty flavors behind. Notes: Fantastic, as you’d expect from Unibroue. Tastes very similar to their Eau Bénite (suspiciously so). Listen, you can get a 750ml bottle of Unibroue for $15.99, or get it for $5.99 at Trader Joe’s. That’s smart shopping with a delicious upside, because this beer is a winner.

Hazy golden pour with ring of white. Belgian yeast and clean vanilla and honey. Great blanch De chambly ness to it. Large carbonation lends itself to big full mouth full. Very good.

Pours a cloudy gold with a thick white head with minimal lacing. Nose is spice with a hint of yeast. Palate is heavy body with spice and yeast and malt overtones.

750 ml.... 5.99- Trader Joe’s Wow... I’m the first to put this one in? Pours a nice, slightly hazy hue, with a fading, frothy white head. Aromas of hay, straw, a touch of ginger and a little cardamom. Some grass notes and spruce arise as it warms. Mouth feel is light to medium bodied, depending on the temperature. Flavors of the same as the aroma. All intact. A mild sweetness that fades with the bitterness as I swallow. Semi dry and has that wheat ale flavor from La Fin Du Monde. The spices aren’t as dominating as the vintage ale from Tj’s as most of the flavors of spice I feel come from the yeast used. This is supposedly a Trader Joe exclusive recipe. Very nice.

Really great beer! Both Trader Joes big bottles by Unibrue(sp?) are great. This is one of the best golden ales I've had; and it's a steal for the price. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From bottle. Perfect golden color, with lots of head and bubbles. Aroma is bubblegum, yeast, and floral notes. Taste is sweet malt, bubblegum, yeast, and peach. Bubbly and full mouthfeel. Lingering sweetness on the finish.

Bottle share at Proof. Pours the slightly hazy color of a wit/triple, a odd pale yellow. Can we all agree that this is almost exactly like La Fin Du Monde? Really enjoyable. Tons of fruity ester. Citrusy. Hmmm, I can really dig this beer.
