Crafted exclusively for Trader Joe’s this delicious beer is made in Quebec, Canada, and brewed according to the time honored traditions of classic Belgian Ales. It strikes the perfect balance between spices, hop, and malt profiles. With champagne-like effervescence and aromatic notes of citrus peel and ginger, this beer is malty, mildly sweet and hoppy with a subtle, spicy finish. It is sure to please the most finicky beer drinkers.

1/25/14. 750mL bottle. You’ll never guess where from. Lightly hazed golden pour with a nice khaki head that sticks and laces okay. Banana, cream, esters, lemon peel, and a touch of yeastiness in the aroma. Sweet cream flavor, lemon, banana, clove. If not for the doses of Belgian yeast touches, I might guess this was a hefe if tasted blind.

750ml. Hazy clean orange-yellow, ugly white cream. Spiced yeast aroma. Good body, well done tart carbonation and conditioning. Under-whelming.

Very light Belgian smell, wheat beer that is very slightly sour and hint of ginger...a bit more gingery than blue moon

Bottle. Slightly hazy golden pour, with a white head. Fruity esters (pear, banana), lots of yeast character, bread, spicy, light clove, phenolic, and a bit herbal. Pretty good for what it is.

Bottle from Trader Joe’s in Palo Alto, CA. Aroma fruity esters, savory bread, bits of spiced ginger candy. Taste is crisp, lemony with savory herbal, ginger moments. Overall an excellent ale for the money ($5.99 USD).

Bottle. Hazy copper/orange with quickly dissipating head. Aroma of light bananas, orange, apricot, and light malt. Light body, citrus, apricot, light hop bitterness, and a dry finish

750 bottle. Pours hazy hay colored with dense white head. Nose has some citrus peel, wheat, very mild bubblegum esters, trace of coriander - very fresh aroma. Flavor has pale barley malt, a bit of texture from other grains, light spice - a bit of cardamom and coriander - lightly sweet and just a bit of fruitiness on the finish. Quite good - very nice bubbly and soft palate.

Cloudy gold color and a large white head. Lots of yeast in the flavor and the aroma and I was surprised that the beer is opaque. Lately sweet, some fruit esters, good flavor, feeling light overall Less flavorful than may unibroue beers

Bottle. Cloudy amber color with very small foamy whitish head that disappeared immediately, vanilla-citrus aroma, low carbonation, slightly watery vanilla flavored Belgian yeast taste, lomgish finish. Nice but not really great.

Pours cloudy pale straw color with white head. Doughy Belgian yeast aroma with some coriander and other spices. Wheat and dough flavors with some spices. Medium body with lively carbonation. Not bad for a $6/750 ml bottle.

an as expected dry yeasty Belgian golden. Pretty decent bang for the buck, though not a favorite style. Lightly fruity with a fizzy body that covers the abv well.
