2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Light copper in color, with a thin head. Hop aroma, with a bit of malt. Medium body, with a bit too much malt in the flavor.

2.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Clear and golden, with a thin white head.
Malty aroma, clean, grainy, minor hops.
Smooth entry on the palate, if a bit grainy in the mouth feel. Easy drinking, but insubstantial in the flavor department. Thin-bodied, and ultimately unappealing.
You can drink it with no trouble, but boring puts it mildly. It’s frill-less and thrill-less to the extreme.
Pursue the purchase of this one only if you’re on a restrictive budget.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled. Poured clear reddish-orange with a fluffy beige head about as tall as the liquid. Nose was quite yeasty with biscuit and caramel maltage as well... clean and kinda boring, but not bad. Flavor was of smooth pulled caramel, biscuits, and pils malts with herbal bitterness and faint citrus at the back-end. Smooth, lighter-bodied middle with a moderately tart and bitter finish. This was not at all complex, but was most definitely drinkable.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
$4.99 a sixer. Pours an amber, nice smelling head. This is excellent for the price. Malty, yeasty with a great bitter kick. Highly recommended. This is basically the Marzen style of Gordon Biersch. Seems fresher and is definitely cheaper, I don’t know how TJs does it. I personally like the Bohemian Lager (GB’s Pilsener) better, but this is top notch.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A decent smelling amber lager. really not that bad of an amber. Next to the bock, the best of the TJ beers I’ve had. A nice blend of malts and hops.

4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
This is a superb brew from a decent brewer, but at the wonderful Trader Joe’s Discount price ($5.99 / six pack). Lovely medium body, toasty throughout. Clean finish. One of my favorite styles! Let the malts rule!

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The body is a medium oramge and has a thick slightly yellow colored head. The aroma had some sweet pancakes along with some caramel. This is sweet smelling, even for the style. The taste has some light caramel along with oced tea. There is also a bit of carrots in the finish. A nice light brew. This is a little thin and weak for the style, but good for summer time.
