Sweet aroma not the bitter I was expecting from some beer with lager in the name. Amber color body with creamy head. Flavor was medium bodied mix of sweet malts, little sugar and some tany candy. Good brew.

An acceptable Vienna, although somewhat light on the nose, a mild & sweet bready malt. Thin for the style, it has a light, toasty caramel malt flavor with a hint of earthy hops. Watery finish, although it does look nice, a pale orange with an initially creamy white head. Glad I could buy it as a single.

(bottle) Lovely amber color with fair white head. Malt aroma. Flavor is a tad too sweet - caramel malt, not much in the way of hops.

Sweet lager aroma. Rich amber color with a small off white head. Flavor starts sweet with light caramel, a little grain and a tangy hop finish. Smooth creamy palate. I liked this one better than the hefe.

I picked up a six-pack for $4.99 @ Trader Joe’s in Santa Cruz, CA. 09.13 batch I consumed 09.30. Good looking amber with excellent lacing, fair malt aroma, an overall easy drinking, crisp, Vienna lager. If you shop at Trader Joe’s like I do you’d expect nothing else but a good value, quality product offered at their stores. TJ’s Vienna Lager was just that, totally worth the price and went well with stinky chesse I bought along with it.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of GregClow. This is the third Trader Joe’s beer in a row that we tried and I did not like the other two so I was not expecting much. This one was pleasantly better. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Like the other Trader Joe’s beers the aroma is too sweet, like sugary malt, but it’s a little more balanced here. Flavour of caramel malt with a bitter aftertaste. My favourite of the Trader Joe’s beers but still not a personal favourite.
