This is a commerical beer made to mass production and low costs and the taset was there. Skunky smell no hops had a rich malt base had a metallic type tatse. Good head and a dark copper color. Like the sharp initial taste but it does nto stay with you at all. Very overpowering malt flavor. Too roasty to style and not enough hops. (Nobel Hops)

Cost $0.92/bottle at Trader Joes. Pours a clear, light amber/copper from the bottle. Small amount of off-white head that lingers disguised as a sheet. There is almost no fizz to this beer, Id almost think it was wine. Aroma is slightly fruity, but not citrus. Grainy too. Problem is, I had to agitate the beer in order to generate any aroma. Otherwise, there wasnt much. The flavor begins with hop bitterness, sharpness followed by mellow malt. This beer is on the watery side, but not totally thin. Only a wash of carbonation as I swallowed, followed by a wet aftertaste. A drinkable beer, in that I didnt rush to dump it. However, there isnt much appealing that would make me come back for more.

Well, this one was just ok. Pured a coppery-amber, very clear, but also a little too bubbly for my tastes. Not much aroma, a little skunk. Kinda sweet, kinda bitter, nothing really exciting as far as I can tell. Tastes a little worse as it sits longer and warms up. Drink it fast and cold in a pinch.

For the money, this brew cannot be beat. Reminds me a lot of a more bitter Oktoberfest beer-quite yum on a hot summer day. Worth trying or even drinking regularly if you have access to a Trader Joes-costs less and tastes better than most else which is widely available.

nice dark amber color with minimal head. Malts come through on this one very nicely. Since this is the first vienna style that Ive ever tried its hard to rate this against something, but as just a beer. I would describe this a smooth and bitter. Good for a change yet I would think that there are more exciting Viennas than this.

Pours amber, great clarity, and a small fast falling white head. Hops sit in the aroma alongside a light maltiness. Kinda toastiness to the malts, but very light and a bit earthy with a very clean lager taste and balanced hop finish. Very smooth and very lightly carbonated, the low carbonation kinda left a flat tasting finish.

Bottle 12 oz. Dark amber color with medium head that diminished quickly. Medium malty aroma. Light to medium body. Medium well balanced flavor with medium smooth finish.

Bottled. U.S. Beer 28 of 31 for <a href=http://www.americanbeermonth.com> American Beer Month! Nice beery malt n hops smell when opened. Pours a civilized Vienna amber with a bubbly head. Taste is pretty clean, but perhaps a bit of phenol. Wish I knew whether Gordon Biersch used its own recipe, or did TJs ask for a few economy moves, like lighter malts or a quicker ferment. Make no mistake, its all right for a store brand beer; nice touch o caramel ond other toasty malts. Hop taste is pretty standard, but at least its there. And who knows, if one store chain tries to improve its private label drinkage, maybe others will, too.

This beer pours a clear amber color with a thin white head which dissipates rather quickly. The aroma is grains, slight malts and a hint of cherry with a subtle hint of bread. The flavor is light and fruit filled. Bready grainyness and ever so slight cherry/citrusy flavor, but overall weak palate. Even the carbonation was held in check. Smooth drinking beer, but nothing to really write home about. Pretty wet finish in most regards.. very standard!

Ckear amber with a small but lasting off-white head. Lace is rally nice. The aroma is malty, bread, caramel, and some biscuit. The flavor is bready up front then an earthiness kicks in finally followed by some hops. Medium-light body lively mouthfeel, a bit slimy. Ok and a lot better than the sorry pilsener packaged under the same name.
