Drank from the bottle bought from Trader Joe’s in Commack, NY. Aroma is light and grassy. Taste is cheap malts, sweet caramel and water. Finish is slightly dry.

Pours golden amber, thin head, no lace. Nose is somewhat sweet with light hop earthy hop up front, brown bread, and a touch of grassy,. The flavor is lightly sweet caramel up front, brown bread in the middle, a touch of toast, and lightly spicy hops in the finish. Light and easy to drink. Not bad.

Well, this one was just ok. Pured a coppery-amber, very clear, but also a little too bubbly for my tastes. Not much aroma, a little skunk. Kinda sweet, kinda bitter, nothing really exciting as far as I can tell. Tastes a little worse as it sits longer and warms up. Drink it fast and cold in a pinch.

This beer is not of my favorite style, but I find that I like it pretty well. It’s medium bodied and very well balanced and eminently drinkable. I think it’s better than what folks give it credit for.

12 oz bottle from Trader Joe’s just outside of Chicago. Pours with a big head, copper in color. Surprisingly good for a grocery store beer. Very "toasted wheaty" in flavor, nice palate that lingers. Part of a "build your own" sampler, but if it’s cheap, it would be worth a six.

pours a very pretty deep-gold/amber with alot of CO2 that leads to a decent size head that retains and laces poorly. aroma is mostly of malt, with the caramel pushing a bit in front of some biscuity toast. flavor is very clean and smooth-some real juicy maltiness up front, finished with a pleasing wack of hop flavor (spicy) and bitterness. pretty nice, and pretty drinkable-and easily worth $4.99.

This tasted like a really fine German lager, along the lines of Hacker Pshorre Munich or Wiehenstephaner’s original. Very crisp and clean and brewed with the German purity law. Slightly nutty in flavor. Good stuff if not quite as good as their wheat

12 oz. bottle from Trader Joe’s Chapel Hill Ar: Aroma is a bit off. Standard caramelly malt aromas but laced with an odd sourish vinegary/metallic note. Neither expected nor desirable. Ap:Good looking beer. Pours a clear amber with a frothy 1" head that leaves really nice lacing. T: Fairly sweet malty flavors of caramel and bread dough. Finish is mildly bittered but oddly metallic. P: Medium body, a bit sticky. Carbonation seems slightly above average. O: Strong presence of a couple of off-flavors. Along with the Bock, the weakest of the $1 TJ’s offerings that I’ve had.
