Bottle from Cincy store. Poured clear brown color with a large frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate sweet malty aroma. Medium body with a thin texture and soft carbonation. Light sweet flavor with soft sweet finish of short to medium duration. Worth trying agian.

Brown bottle from Trader Joes. Strong aroma of somewhat roasted caramel malt. Mahogany color with a beige/tan head that quickly ringed. Thin to medium body with creamy carbonation. The flavor is roasted malt, so a bit sweet, seems to have some nut. Not getting much hop except perhaps a bit of grassiness. The finish is mildly sweet with some veg/hop to sort of balance. It’s not a bad dark lager, especially considering the price.

In bottle from Trader Joe’s. Appearance is a disturbingly transparent brown color. Cream head. Aroma is of lemons and caramel malt. Tastes more roasted than expected with molasses sweetness. Much more flavor than appearance would indicate.

12 oz bottle from Trader Joes; Nose is roasty malt with a very light coffee note; clear dark brown with a big beige head; flavor of lightly burnt caramel, brazilnuts, and coffee deep in the background. Beats the hell out of the Trader Jose Premium Lager!
