Collint (292), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Jul 17, 2008 Bottle from Trader Joes, Cary for 1$. Pours a dark clear amber with a thin head. Aroma is sweet malty with a light hop nose. Clean carbonation and light taste. Pretty good McGarnigle (145), Rochester, New York, USA Jul 16, 2008 Bottle, no date. Clear amber, big head but doesn’t last that long. Scent is sweet malts and some hops. It’s fairly light and fizzy. What I like best is a roasted flavor that comes through at the end. What I dislike is the paucity of hops, and some off flavors when it warms. Still pretty good. MrBunn (795), Western, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Pours a light brown color with a bit of a tan head. Aromas are of dirt, toffee, and something a little nutty. Flavor is about the same... kind of a non-descript, but nice, mix of sweetness, earthiness and nuts... Nice enough without being too exciting. EithCubes (1751), Indiana, USA Jul 6, 2008 Bottle. Sweet, slightly funky caramel and toffee nose. Coke-colored pour with a creamy cocoa-colored head. Taste has dim chocolate slurry, faint ash under mocha, and some grainy, grassy nuttiness. Light body with little crispness. No hops, but really feels dirty. Gosh, I like their pale lager more than this slop. Bier brauen (128), Bremerton, Washington, USA Jul 6, 2008 Aroma is corn. Pours dark with head that disappates quickly. Typical cheap dark beer. Not worth it unless it free!
