joet (1623), Fulton, California, USA May 10, 2008 Inoffensive light golden crisp dry, better with limes and cold, touch of salt, decent hop backbone.
phishpond417 (1456), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 20, 2008 Don’t see myself trying this one anytime soon. Poured a clear, straw yellow colour with a decent head. Aroma was wicked malty, and a little stale. Taste was overly grainy and watered down. chandler0201 (111), Durham, North Carolina, USA Aug 20, 2008 Lets see, its intended as a Corona clone, and it does that quite well, but for a fraction of the price. Looks like Corona, smells like Corona, what more can I say? emacgee (1129), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Aug 19, 2008 Looks like its bretheren. Pours a pale translucent yellow. Smells skunky for sure, grassy, cardboard. The flavor is grassy, a lite noble hop bite, some skunk, cardboard, a little sweet. Not terrible, drinkable at best. cazort (368), Lancaster, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 21, 2008 (Bottle) I expected this to taste like a "Corona clone" but it actually tastes quite different. I like the other reviewer’s descriptor "inoffensive"; it says much. Aroma a bit yeasty and bready, much like some of the Italian macro lagers. No skunk, in spite of the clear bottle. Maybe this is because there is not much in the way of hops. A mild macro-sourness emerges toward the end, but it could be a lot worse. Overall? Disappointing for something to come out of Trader Joe’s. Usually they can do a bit better with their store-brands, even when it comes to beer. The best thing this beer has going for it is the pleasant yeasty/bready aroma...but it has little else to offer. EithCubes (1820), Indiana, USA Jul 6, 2008 Clear-glassed bottle. Grassy corn syrup for a nose, but there is a trace of hops! Clear yellow pour with a creamy bright white head. Taste is sweet and very corny, pale malt is of poor quality. Grassiness pushed way toward the back, but at least there’s some crispness. Light, non-watery body.
