A fairly good dark lager. Tasty yet still drinkable. Decent find for a trader Joe's beer. Is drink it again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice red-copper color, thin beige head. Second the aroma of pennies. Very mild, tastes a little malty, with hint of stone fruit/apricots. Cheap.

11.2oz twist off bottle drom jcwattsrugger. Poured a clear thinner reddish/brown with a smaller to average foamy super light beige head. Aroma of pennies, rust, chocolate, grains, dark fruits. Initial body starts off watery then the strong carbonation pushes everything into the fuller creamy realm, odd. Flavor of grains, sweet medium to darker toast, hint of chocolate, roasty.

Taste is burnt chocolate, fuller body and taste than Modelo Negro. Enjoy!

Pours a dark copper color with a small white head. A light sweet malty nose. The flavor is light cherries, dry toffee, cola. Pretty decent. Reminds me of Negra modelo.

Malty and kind of trashy. A little on the sweet side. Pours dark amber without much head or lacing. Sweet finish, and some sourness. Bottle.

Darwenus (546) - Virginia, USA - JAN 31, 2014
Pours translucent brown, like iced pekoe tea. Smells like boiled cabbage. Tastes like any cheap, mass produced adjunct lager, filtered through charcoal. This is piss.

Bottle->lager. Clear amber with bare offwhite head. A: nutty, malty. T: sweet malt, some bitter grains. Metallic aftertaste brings down an otherwise surprisingly decent cheap TJ beer.
