3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Trader José Light has a thick, white head, a mostly clear, golden appearance, with bubble streams, decent lacing, and noticeable tiny white specs roiling about. Aroma is of fairly rich, barley malt, sweetness, and even an odd (but, not bad) syrupiness. Taste is of faint malt, sweetness, cracker, and a touch of balancing hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and a bit slick, and Trader José Light finishes crisp and easy drinking. I find this to be a better-than-average light lager. RJT

Decent light lager in the style of Corona or land shark. Not sure if buy it again unless I had a TJ's right next door

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 10/20
It’s a light beer by - what? - 20 estimated calories. OK. Pours the usual light yellow with a fast disappearing white head. Nose is - well - light malt. grain. It’s a better light than the BudCoorsMIller variety but what isn’t? It is not Corona. Brewed in Baja by a "craft" brewer.

Single bottle grabbed for popcorn night. Trader Joe’s Corona Light clone. Not bad but it has a little bit of a bite. Meh.

This is exactly what you think it is. A water beer. Straw color and flavor not unlike Corona, Tecate, et al. Only enjoyable as a water beer when it is really hot. If you’re judging on whether it holds up as a craft beer you are off the mark.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
1/25/14. 12oz bottle from TJ’s. Enjoyed from the bottle. Clear yellow. Plain aroma, mild corn chips, a touch of apple and grass. Similarly plain flavor, less offensive than the regular Premium Lager.

0.8 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20
Bottle. Again, exactly what you’d expect. Super, super light, with barely any color. Barely any ANYthing to this. Thin, watery, barely a kiss of beer flavor to it. Why bother? (#5308, 11/3/2013)

1.3 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
it’s hard to rate this because I don’t know how it really tastes. It was so skunked up! When the hell are brewers going to knock it off with the freaking clear bottles? This is no better or worse than a skunked bottle of Corona light, which isn’t saying much.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Tallahassee, Fl - Trader Joe’s - 11.2 oz bottle. Slightly cloudy light golden pour, little to no head. Aroma of club soda and slight corn syrup. Flavor has a very light honey sweetness to it, a touch of metal, some grainy blandness. Mouthfeel is a slightly dry and metallic. Would hit the spot ice cold on a hot beach though.
