Type: 11.2-oz. bottle Glass: Pint mug From: Trader Joe’s in La Mesa (San Diego), Calif. Price: $4.99 for a 6-pack Purchased: N/A Consumed: Aug. 12, 2015 Misc.: Best before March 26, 2016 Poured a golden, pale, clear color with two fingers of off-white, frothy head. Lots of bubble streams coming up from the bottom of the glass. Minimal lacing on the sides of the glass. Minimal retention. (Sight - 3.38) Smelled caramel, grain, honey, corn, cereal, bread and some grass. Decent for the style. (Smell - 3.75) Tasted similar to the nose, once again OK for the style. Got grain, corn cereal, honey, grass, caramel and light spoiled fruit. (Taste - 3.75) Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Abrupt finish. (Feel - 3.50) For the style, this was certainly a good beer. It surprised me and was much better than the last time I had it. Would have it again for sure. Nice light one for the summer. Bottle from Tmoney99 way back in the day from notes. Pours a clear light yellow color with a medium sized whitish head. The aroma and flavor have sweet grainy malts, corn, grass, very mild (even more so than the regular) and boring, some skunked character. Pass.

Clear yellow color, white head. Aroma of papery straw. Taste is very subtle and plain.

33cl dented clear twist off bottle. Skunkage is minimal though Mexican municipal water character is high. Color is clear gold and there is a nice little fizzy white head in the bottle when opened. The flavor is not terrible, sweet malt, corn finish, metal, mineral water. Not offensive but not good, easy to drink.

Mmmm. No. Not really. Bottle from Trader Joes. Pours a clear yellow color with a small white head. A funky earthy nose. It drinks really round with sweet grains, corn perhaps. Something of a metal corn can in there. Not good. I’m gonna chug a Black Tuesday to change the flavors on my palate right now, yeah that will do it.

everything that the premium lager was and was night...just lighter and even more watery. One timer for .99.

Hey, not bad at all for a light Mexican lager. Actually, quite nice and tasty generally. It is pils yellow w/ a small head of fine bubbles. It is nice and light but not completely flavorless w/ a noticeable caramelly malt profile. There is a bit of grassy hops in the nose and just a very faint hint of bitterness in the finish. It is crisp on the palate and very easy drinking. I am not saying this is a world class craft beer by any means but it is a surprisingly nice light lager and that is all it aspires to be.

Surprised how decent this trader Joe line is. Slight malt aroma. Little white head. Little lacing. Little skunky. Might be intentional. Taste is slight malt with a bitter finish.

Trader José Light has a thick, white head, a mostly clear, golden appearance, with bubble streams, decent lacing, and noticeable tiny white specs roiling about. Aroma is of fairly rich, barley malt, sweetness, and even an odd (but, not bad) syrupiness. Taste is of faint malt, sweetness, cracker, and a touch of balancing hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and a bit slick, and Trader José Light finishes crisp and easy drinking. I find this to be a better-than-average light lager. RJT

Decent light lager in the style of Corona or land shark. Not sure if buy it again unless I had a TJ's right next door ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
