Tasted from bottle into pint glass. Typical North American corn-adjunct light lager. Not terrible, not special, just blah. Refreshing finish if itís cold enough. Works just like Corona, which Iím sure is the point.

Bottle - light, pale yellow color, pretty basic, Corona-like beer, a little on the bland side

Clear yellow with a decent foamy white head. Aroma is boiled corn. Taste is sweet corn and vegertable, no hops. Glad I found a single of this.

2.2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 11/20
Inoffensive, drinkable stuff...perhaps a tad less citrusy-sweet and a bit more cereal-malty than its competitors, but cleaner than a Tecate

2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pale Lager month installment number 24: At this point Iím a little taken a back that I havenít even tried every pale lager that is sold exclusively at Trader Joeís... they sure have a lot of them. Pours a light golden color with a respectable big tight white head. The aroma harkens back to what I remember beer smelling like as a child, I didnít take the time to flesh it out then but in this case itís corny with some "corn tortilla" kind of character, some light vegetal and alcohol notes, and a fair bit of sweet malt. The flavor is more of that tortilla corniness and a nice little light hop zing at the start, the beer has a mild fruity sweetness but overall itís on the drier side of pale lager. This is really pretty refreshing, but watery and not really "tasty".

I found this one completely inoffensive, so it was good. Pretty much like the Corona/Corona Light. Boring and drinkable, not enough to go out of the way to get, but if itís on sale (or with good Trader Joeís prices) I may put a 6 pack into the cart.

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Deep gold colored body with a thin bright white head. The nose has some bologna along with bits of raw potato. There is also some hay. The taste has
potato skins and a little bit of black pepper. There is also some bell pepper. I preferred the light version of this one. This tastes pretty as you would expect. Ok when ice cold.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
UPDATED: MAY 7, 2011 Rating from outta the bottle with a lime in it while smoking a cigarette on the porch. If you donít like that, you can (a) fuck off or (b) fuck off. Now that thereís a lime in it, it smells like lime..or trix, the "lime" flavored ones..taste isnít all that great though...I was hoping for a corona or sol w/ lime flavor but this doesnít have that underlying "mexican" flavor that seems to combine well in the aforementioned beers. Cheap enough I suppose at less than $5 foor a 6er, but maybe not, depending on the price of limes and salt.

I found this to be considerably better than the light. A bit of actual body and certainly no fruit notes. Not too bad.

Skunky aroma. Light body with a weird fruity taste at the finish. Overall I did not enjoy this beer.
